Alec Pierce in Concussion Protocol, Will Not Practice on Wednesday
Alec Pierce (concussion) is in the league's concussion protocol and will not practice on Wednesday. Pierce is off to a solid start to his 2025 season, recording nine catches on 13 targets for 171 yards through his first three games. The 25-year-old led the NFL in yards per reception (22.3) in 2024 and remains a very effective downfield threat, although his middling target volume makes him difficult to trust for fantasy managers. If Pierce were to miss time, second-year wide receiver Adonai Mitchell could take his place in Week 4 against the Los Angeles Rams as the Colts' WR3 alongside Michael Pittman Jr. and Josh Downs. Mitchell has recorded four catches for 41 yards on eight targets across the first three games of the season.
