Parker Washington, Wan'Dale Robinson, Jakobi Meyers: Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em Picks for Fantasy Football Week 17

Jakobi Meyers - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Should I start Parker Washington, Wan'Dale Robinson, Jakobi Meyers for Week 17? Fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks and recommendations for the 2025 NFL season.

Week 17 is coming up. Whether you're fighting for your fantasy football league championship, hoping to get some winnings from placing highly, or just trying to avoid being the toilet bowl loser, finding who to start at wide receiver is always important.

Many WRs, like Tampa Bay Buccaneers wideout Emeka Egbuka, have been tough to trust down the stretch after a lot of bad games. Others have gotten hurt, and yet others have been suspended, like Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver DK Metcalf.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have a pair of receivers, Parker Washington and Jakobi Meyers, and the New York Giants have a slot receiver in Wan'Dale Robinson that you might consider starting. But should you do so in a pivotal week? Let's dive in.

Should I Start Parker Washington for Fantasy Football?

Interestingly, Washington outproduced all other Jaguars pass-catchers in Week 16 by catching six of his 10 targets for 145 yards and a touchdown. It was surprising to see him rack up 26.5 PPR fantasy points when Meyers seemed to be taking over the WR1 job and second-year WR Brian Thomas Jr. was back up to health.

But Washington has at least been very consistent, which is excellent for his fantasy value. He has the slot receiver role in head coach Liam Coen's offensive system, which is quite valuable. WR/CB Travis Hunter (knee) originally had that role, but he suffered a knee injury that ended his season prematurely.

Sometimes, the role is more important than the player, and that might be the case here. Washington didn't show much in his first two seasons in the league. But Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence has been playing much better the last few games.

He's on a major hot streak, and a rising tide lifts all boats. It seems that Thomas is the odd man out, and both Meyers and Washington can get fed consistent target volume. Then again, the matchup could have played a role, as the Jags played the Denver Broncos last week, who have an elite outside cornerback in Patrick Surtain II.

Washington had just three targets in his previous game and in general hasn't had a ton of targets when Thomas has played. Additionally, Meyers brings extra target competition, so it's probably best to start Washington as a flex only in deeper leagues.

Should I Start Wan'Dale Robinson for Fantasy Football?

Robinson looked like a bonafide mid-season breakout as the Giants slot receiver. From Week 6 to Week 12, he ranked 13th among wide receivers in PPR points per game, with 15.4. But last week, Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart passed for just 33 yards, and Robinson caught three passes for 19 yards and no touchdowns.

The Giants appear to be clamming up and tanking for a better pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. They don't have much to play for, as they've long been eliminated from playoff contention. They're better off trying to preserve their players as much as possible.

Season-ending injuries to wide receiver Malik Nabers (knee) and running back Cam Skattebo (ankle), both of whom have looked like stars when healthy, are a big driver in the team's lack of need to compete. So Robinson being susceptible to dissapointing games shouldn't be a big surprise.

Of course, he's had great games this year, with all three quarterbacks that have started for the Giants -- Russell Wilson, Dart, and Jameis Winston. And New York will face the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 17 in what is likely to be one of the "Tank Bowl" games of the season.

The Giants have opted to run the ball very heavily under new head coach Mike Kafka, though. With Skattebo injured, this helps them lessen their chances of another starter suffering a big injury. So while it's always possible Robinson could catch a touchdown and have a nice day, his floor is pretty low.

He checks in as a worse option than Washington in Week 17, considering how inconsistent the Giants passing game can get.

Should I Start Jakobi Meyers for Fantasy Football?

Meyers is the Jaguars WR1. A much easier matchup against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 17 is coming up, and they don't have as tough of outside cornerbacks as the Broncos do. Meyers is worth starting. He's got a quite solid floor for a flex player.

He's as rock-solid as they come, though he's not exactly a dominant WR1. He's been fine, but doesn't have a ton of upside.
