DraftKings Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (9/10/20) - MLB DFS Lineups

The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on 9/10/20. Brian Entrekin's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

We head into Thursday night with a 6 game slate on tap. A slate with a few top-end arms and a lot of places to attack with bats. There is some nice value so you should be able to grab some big bats and a big arm or two. Make sure to listen to MLB DFS Quick Hits to get a full rundown of the player pool and how to attack the slate.

When looking at the slate the top-priced arm is Gerrit Cole and for good reasons facing an Orioles club with a lot of swing and miss. After Cole,Co there are a lot of landmines to navigate when locking in another pitcher. With that being said there are bats for days. The Yankees and Padres will be expensive and popular, while the Rays, Giants, Red Sox are a few of the affordable targets tonight.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on 9/10/2020. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for sites like FanDuel, and other sports too. DraftKings DFS Starting Pitchers

Gerrit Cole - P, NYY vs BAL ($10,300)

Cole rolls into tonight's action in a bit of a skid. He has allowed four runs or more in three straight starts. It has been a roller coaster ride, one where he has not been ace-like but hasn't killed your teams as he is still striking guys out. He has at least seven strikeouts in the last three games. One thing I have discussed many times is Cole's issue with the long ball as he has given up at least one home run in each start. We are getting a bit of a discount with Cole at home vs the Orioles. The Orioles are striking out 22.9% of the time vs RHO with a .181 ISO. They definitely have some pop and some streaky hitters, but Cole should be able to avoid too much trouble, strikeout plenty, and rack up the DK points tonight in cash and GPP lineups.

Sandy Alcantara - P, MIA vs PHI ($6,600)

Alcantara has made two starts since returning from the COVID IL. The first start was a disaster and I am willing to chalk that up to rust. His latest start was much more like the Alcantara we have come to expect. He went six strong, allowing one run while striking out eight. He faces the Phillies tonight, a team he pitched well against to start the season. He will look to stay hot vs a Phillies team that strikes out 21.1% of the time with a .252 average and a .166 ISO. Alcantara will have his work cut out for him, but he is usually up for the task. He makes for a strong SP2 tonight on a slate that does not have many great pitching options.

Other Options: Sonny Gray (CIN at CHC) $9,600

DraftKings DFS Infielders

Christian Vazquez - C, BOS at Josh Fleming ($3,800)

Vazquez has picked up right where he left off in 2019 and is having another strong season. He is currently on a bit of a heater as well. Over the last seven games, he has hit safely in five of seven games with a .385 average. He is also walking 16.1% of the time and has a strong .398 wOBA. Last year Vazquez was very strong vs LHP but has gotten off to a slow start this season. He does have a .244 ISO to go with a .220 average. The catcher position is not great tonight and Vazquez is in a strong spot for the Red Sox tonight.

Other Options: Daulton Varsho (AZ vs LAD) $2,300

Bobby Dalbec - 1B/3B, BOS at Josh Fleming  ($3,200)

We are currently living the peak Bobby Dalbec experience. In the minors, he hit for a ton of power and not much of an average. We are currently seeing that power. Dalbec has homered in four straight games where he is hitting .429 with a .690 wOBA. In his first nine games, he is barreling the ball 25% of the time with a 37.5% hard-hit rate, but over the last four games, he has a 44.4% barrel rate and a hard-hit rate of 55.6%. Fleming has allowed LHH to hit 1.5 HR/9 with a .324 wOBA so far this season. Dalbec makes for a strong GPP value today.

Other Options: Garret Cooper (MIA vs PHI) $3,100, Brandon Belt (SF at SD) $3,300

DJ LeMahieu - 2B/3B, NYY vs Keegan Akin  ($5,600)

LeMahieu is having another strong season with a .355 average and a .397 wOBA. He is riding a three-game hitting streak into tonight's game and has hit safely in 11 of his last 14 games. He is pricey tonight, but the second base position is not great and he has a great matchup. He has hit over .316 in each of the last six seasons vs LHP, including a .318 average this season. This season he has a .359 wOBA and a 52.4% hard-hit rate vs LHP. Akin has thrown well this season, but tonight could be tough in the Bronx for the 25-year-old and LeMahieu should be apart of that.

Mike Brosseau - 1B/3B, TB vs Mike Kickham ($4,700)

Brosseau brings power when he steps into the batter's box for the Rays. He has a .333 ISO to go with a .416 wOBA this season. He also has a 12.8% barrel rate and a 43.6% hard-hit rate. That's really strong, but what we all love Brosseau is his ability to mash LHP. This season he is hitting .351 with a .432 ISO, a 30.8% HR/FB, and an insane 65.4% hard-hit rate vs LHP. He faces Kickham tonight who recently made his first major league appearance since 2014. He will not be long for the game, but do not panic as the Red Sox bullpen is horrible as well.

Other Options: Manny Machado (SD vs SF) $5,700, Rafael Devers (BOS at TB) $5,000

Chris Taylor - OF/SS at Madison Bumgarner ($4,200)

Taylor comes into tonight's action riding a five-game hitting streak and has hit safely in eight of his last nine games. Over those nine games, he is hitting .333 with a .405 wOBA and a 57.7% hard-hit rate. Taylor is a nice value in a Dodgers stack tonight as we should be back to attacking Mad Bum tonight. He is definitely not his old self and that shows as he is allowing hitters to barrel the ball 19.4% of the time with a 44.4% hard-hit rate. On the season RHH is hitting .288 with a .451 wOBA with a 49.1% hard-hit rate and allowing an insane 5 HR/9!!!! Load up on your Dodgers, preferably RHH Dodgers, and Taylor should be involved. (Side note, Enrique Hernandez owns Bumgarner.)

Other Options: Gleyber Torres (NYY vs BAL) $4,900, Xander Bogaerts (BOS at TB) $4,600, Miguel Rojas (MIA vs PHI) $3,400

DraftKings DFS Outfielders

Wil Myers - OF, SD vs Drew Smyly ($4,100)

The resurgence of Myers has been a thing of beauty this season and the last 11 games have been quite a run. He has hit safely in nine of the last 11 games for a .372 average and a .349 ISO. He has had a higher than normal strikeout rate in recent years but is only striking out 13.3% of the time. He is barreling the ball 13.5% of the time with a 54% hard-hit rate over the las t11 games. He has been crushing LHP this season with a .383 average, .493 wOBA, and 214 wRC+. He is one of the hottest hitters in baseball and faces Smyly tonight as he makes his return from the IL.

AJ Pollock- OF, LAD at Madison Bumgarner ($3,900)

Hey, look, another Dodgers RHH. I was not going to write up Mookie Betts, you do not need an article to tell you he is a great play. Pollock on the other hand, is a strong value piece of the Dodgers tonight. He has hit safely in his last six games for a .440 average, a .475 wOBA, and a 57.9% hard-hit rate. This season he is hitting .359 with a .407 wOBA vs LHP and should be in your Dodgers stacks vs Mad Bum.

Randy Arozarena - OF, TB vs Mike Kickham ($3,200)

Here is your tasty value of the night. The Rays added Arozarena to the roster at the end of August and are crushing. He has hit safely in five of eight games with a .400 average. He has flexed his muscle as well with a .593 wOBA, .600 ISO, 18.8% barrel rate, and 50% hard-hit rate. He is straight crushing it. The Rays have been hitting him near the top of the order in his recent starts in should be in a very strong spot tonight vs Kickham. Great salary relief tonight in cash and GPP.
