Potential rainouts for Angels-Royals and Indians-Cardinals today, though both are under 50% chances for precipitation. All other games will be played without weather-related concerns.

Pitchers to Use

Steven Matz has turned in quality starts in four of his last six outings, and one of the two in which he failed to reach that benchmark was his most recent turn at Coors Field. He'll take on the Pirates at home, opposed by Chad Kuhl. Kuhl's disastrous outing last week nothwithstanding, he's a decent play as well.

Freddy Peralta has been dynamite so far, going 2-0 with 2.30 ERA, 0.89 WHIP, and 25 strikeouts in his first three starts. The Royals are terrible, so he should have little trouble with them in theory.

Pitchers to Exploit

The Angels have been so slammed by pitcher injuries that they're reduced to running John Lamb out there against the Red Sox at Fenway. Lamb has a career 6.12 ERA and 1.59 WHIP. In professional circles, those numbers are referred to as "extremely bad."

The Matt Harvey reclamation project in Cincinnati has gone about as well as you'd expect. In eight starts, the former ace has been thoroughly mediocre, posting a 4.79 ERA and allowing 1.5 home runs per nine innings. In other words, someone who should be targeted when pitching against a top-tier Braves lineup.

Homers on the Wire

Ryon Healy has been heating back up recently, with a .333 average and five homers over the past two weeks. He'll have a great chance to add to that HR total with a date against Kevin Gausman at Camden Yards.

Steals on the Wire

With the Nationals being cautious about Adam Eaton's playing time as he returns from injury, Michael A. Taylor is still starting fairly often. He has six steals in the last two weeks and leads the majors with 23 overall.
