Brock Purdy Will Start on Sunday Against Jaguars
Brock Purdy (toe, shoulder) was removed from the final Week 4 injury report on Friday and will start on Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan. Purdy missed Weeks 2 and 3 with turf toe and an AC joint sprain in his left (non-throwing) shoulder, but he looked good in practice this week and has been cleared to return this weekend. Meanwhile, backup Mac Jones (knee) is questionable for the Niners after aggravating a knee injury in last week's one-point win over the Arizona Cardinals. It's great news for San Fran's offense that Purdy is back, but he could be without both receivers Jauan Jennings (ankle, shoulder) and Ricky Pearsall (knee) -- they are both questionable. In a banged-up offense with limited weapons -- tight end George Kittle (hamstring) remains out -- Purdy should be considered a QB2 in fantasy in his return against a Jaguars defense that has been stingy against the pass early on.
