Xavier Worthy Expected to Return on Sunday
Xavier Worthy (shoulder) is preparing to return to action when the Chiefs take on the Ravens on Sunday. Worthy played only three snaps in the team's season opener before a friendly-fire collision with tight end Travis Kelce left him with a dislocated shoulder. He has since been ramping up his practice involvement, and head coach Andy Reid confirmed to reporters on Friday that he is expected to return this week. Worthy got off to a slow start in his rookie campaign, but developed a late-season rapport with quarterback Patrick Mahomes, while mostly filling Rashee Rice's short-to-intermediate role. Rice is still serving the final three games of his six-game suspension, so Worthy becomes an interesting fantasy play for at least the next few weeks in an offense desperate for playmakers.
