Riley Leonard's Week 15 Status Uncertain Due to Knee Injury
Indianapolis Colts rookie quarterback Riley Leonard (knee) is dealing with a knee injury that leaves his status for Sunday's game in Seattle against the Seahawks uncertain, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. It's pretty concerning for a Colts team that unfortunately lost starting QB Daniel Jones in the Week 14 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars with a season-ending torn Achilles tendon. Former first-rounder Anthony Richardson Jr. (eye) remains on Injured Reserve and may not play again this season following orbital surgery, so the Colts are extremely thin at the most important position on the field. Leonard, 23, went 18-for-29 passing for 145 yards with no touchdowns and an interception on Sunday after taking over for Jones, and he added a rushing touchdown on two carries. If Leonard's knee injury keeps him from playing in Seattle, Brett Rypien would be the next man up in Indy under center. UPDATE: Head coach Shane Steichen said "the hope" is that Leonard will play in Seattle.
