Bryan Harsin, Justin Wilcox Candidates for Washington State Head Coach Job?
According to Pete Nakos of On3Sports, former Auburn head coach Bryan Harsin and former Cal head coach Justin Wilcox could be potential top candidates for the vacant Washington State head-coaching job. The Cougars lost Jimmy Rogers to Iowa State after Matt Campbell left for Penn State, and the search is on to hire their fourth head coach since Mike Leach departed for Mississippi State in 2020. Harsin has 10 years of experience as a head coach between stints at Arkansas State, Boise State, and Auburn. He's compiled an 85-36 record, including four conference championships. He was let go at Auburn following a 3-5 start to the 2022 campaign. Wilcox was recently fired by Cal after nine seasons with the Golden Bears, following a 48-55 overall record. On3 also lists New Mexico head coach Jason Eck, Missouri offensive coordinator Kirby Moore, Montana State head coach Brent Vigen, and former Michigan State head coach Jonathan Smith as potential fits for Washington State.
