Recent Update

11/15:The Seattle Mariners acquired infielder Ryon Healy from the Oakland Athletics on Wednesday in exchange for right-handed pitcher Emilio Pagan and minor league infielder Alexander Campos, according to Seattle general manager Jerry Dipoto. Healy hit .271 with 29 doubles, 25 home runs and 78 RBI in 149 games with the A's last season and can play both first base (39 games with Oakland) and third base (34 games). He also served as the designated hitter for 78 games with the A's. With Yonder Alonso a free agent, Healy figures to play mostly everyday at first base and will be a low-end corner infield option with power for fantasy owners. He moves from one pitcher-friendly environment to another within the same division. The A's felt Healy was expendable because of the rise of Matt Chapman at third base and Matt Olson at first base. They'll look to upgrade significantly in their outfield in 2018 while possibly moving left fielder Khris Davis to full-time DH.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
