Mason McTavish Agrees to Six-Year Deal With Ducks
Anaheim Ducks center Mason McTavish has agreed to a six-year contract with the team. It's reportedly a $42 million deal for McTavish, who has sat out the beginning of training camp as a restricted free agent. There were trade rumors linking McTavish to other teams, but he remains a vital part of Anaheim's plans. "Mason is a key part of our team, and we're excited to reach a long-term agreement that reflects his importance to our future," Ducks general manager Pat Verbeek said. McTavish has spent four seasons with the Ducks and amassed a career-high 52 points (22 goals, 30 assists) in 76 games last term. He's one of the team's brightest offensive talents and could become a 60-point producer this season if he continues to progress.
