St. Louis Blues right wing Jimmy Snuggerud (undisclosed) is not seriously hurt after crashing into the boards during Wednesday's practice. "He's fine," Blues head coach Jim Montgomery told reporters Friday. "Anything serious has been eliminated, and he's day-to-day right now." Snuggerud is expected to be one of the most exciting rookies in the NHL this season. Following an outstanding three-year spell with the University of Minnesota, he made his pro debut last season, producing four points (one goal, three assists) over seven regular-season outings. Snuggerud also had two goals and two assists during St. Louis' seven-game first-round playoff series against the Winnipeg Jets.--Taavi Pailk
