Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 3:
Woody Marks, Houston Texans
Houston Texans running back Woody Marks has played about 50% of his team's snaps in each of the first two weeks of the season. He is sharing the workload with David Montgomery, and it seems Montgomery is the preferred option in scoring situations, while Marks gets more work as a pass-catcher out of the backfield. In Week 1, Marks took nine carries for 42 yards but was held to eight carries for eight yards against the Bengals in Week 2.
He still had a decent PPR week, though, since he hauled in 5-of-6 targets for 27 yards.
In Week 3, Marks is in a favorable matchup against the Colts, who have allowed the third-most fantasy points to running backs this season. He is RotoBaller's RB33 in PPR rankings for the week, making him a deep-league flex play or desperation RB3. Sharing the load should help to keep him fresh and healthier long-term, but his timeshare hurts his fantasy ceiling this week.
Cam Skattebo, New York Giants
New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo is looking to bounce back in Week 3 as the Giants host the Tennessee Titans. Through two games, Skattebo has totaled 30 carries for 117 yards and a touchdown, along with four receptions for 19 yards. Although Skattebo has played only 60% of snaps in 2026, he's the clear lead back in carries, out touching the next-closest back, Devin Singletary, by 21 attempts.
With starting quarterback Jaxson Dart (knee) done for the season, the Giants, under offensive coordinator Matt Nagy, could lean more on Skattebo and the run game as they try to limit turnovers from Jameis Winston.
The Titans have ranked in the bottom half of run defense over the last two seasons, and heavy rain and wind could mean Skattebo has a huge workload on Sunday. With inclement weather and a positive game script possible against Tennessee, Skattebo is a high-end RB2 and could have a great outing in Week 3.
Jadarian Price, Seattle Seahawks
Seattle Seahawks running back Jadarian Price (chest) is good to go for a Week 3 matchup with the Washington Commanders. Price had been nursing what is listed as a chest injury, but described as a shoulder injury that he sustained in Week 2. The injury limited him down the stretch of that game, but Price figures to lead the backfield once again in Week 3. Price has gotten off to a slow start this season.
He has carried the ball 23 times for 104 yards in two games. Fantasy managers would also like to see Price rack up a few more targets. A potential breakout could come in Week 3 against a weak Commanders defensive line. The Dallas Cowboys attacked this team through the air in Week 2, but Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley (stinger) turned 15 carries into 83 yards in Week 1.
If Price can continue to receive a modest number of carries, he will eventually break for a big play. His touchdown opportunities should continue to remain high in Week 3 as well. Price has yet to become trustworthy enough to achieve RB2 status, but he could provide flex value this week.
DJ Moore, Buffalo Bills
Buffalo Bills wide receiver DJ Moore enters Week 3 with a shoulder injury after leaving last Thursday's win over Detroit in the second quarter. He was limited Friday and is officially questionable, with head coach Joe Brady saying Moore will be a game-time decision. His Bills debut showed what the upside looks like. Moore caught five of a team-high eight targets for 100 yards and a touchdown against Houston before being held without a catch prior to his Week 2 exit.
RotoBaller still ranks him as the WR18 for Week 3 despite the injury. Fantasy managers will have to check his status Sunday morning, but there should not be much hesitation if Moore is active and Buffalo gives no indication that his workload will be limited. He remains a strong WR2 in one of the league's hottest offenses.
Carnell Tate, Tennessee Titans
Tennessee Titans wide receiver Carnell Tate continues to see opportunities early in his rookie season, catching three of five targets for 27 yards against Philadelphia after posting four receptions for 38 yards in Week 1. The fourth overall pick has a modest seven catches for 65 yards through his first two NFL games, but his 11 targets lead Tennessee's pass catchers.
Tate has not yet delivered the splash plays fantasy managers are looking for, but Sunday's matchup provides a promising opportunity. The Giants were just shredded by Matthew Stafford for 327 yards and four touchdowns last week, with wide receiver Davante Adams finishing with eight catches for 195 yards and two scores.
New York is also extremely thin in the secondary at the moment - cornerback Deonte Banks and safety Tyler Nubin are questionable for Sunday's matchup, along with three other defensive backs on injured reserve. Tate's volume and production have not reached automatic-start territory, but his talent and favorable matchup provide an exciting opportunity for him to pop as a WR3/FLEX in Week 3, finally.
