Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Hitters - Category Boosters for HR, SB, RBI, AVG, Runs (Week 4)

Mickey Moniak - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups

Mike's fantasy baseball waiver wire hitters to add as category boosters for Week 4 of 2026. His top hitters to pick up or stream for HR, RBI, SB, AVG, and runs.

Welcome back to our Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Hitters - Category Boosters column for Week 4 of the 2026 MLB season. Things are starting to get interesting, and we need to potentially roll out some changes to meet our demands to compete for championships.

If you have not done it yet, you are on the verge of cutting that guy you loved in early spring for a more useful piece for your team. This means you have to start to turn your back on your process in search of guys who can help now. It can be a difficult calculus.

We will give you three options for each of the five offensive categories in a standard five-by-five league. All hitters will be listed according to their percentage of rostered players on Yahoo!, with a maximum of 50 percent. Let's see who can help boost your categories.

Runs Scored (R) - Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Boosters

Masyn Winn, SS, St. Louis Cardinals (38% rostered)

Winn is showing signs that he could be developing into a consistent fantasy player. Winn has multiple hit games in his last three games and has scored runs in six of his last seven games. His average is now up to .257 as he continues to man the six slot in the order.

Miguel Vargas, 1B/3B, Chicago White Sox (23% rostered)

I know many will say this is a homer pick, but I truly like Vargas. He is hitting daily in the top three of the lineup and has three home runs over the last week and eight runs scored. Vargas will continue to play daily for a rebuilding White Sox team. Consider him this weekend.

Daniel Schneemann, 2B/3B/SS/OF, Cleveland Guardians (12% rostered)

Schneemann always starts in a utility role and finds his way into playing time. He has scored six runs over the last week while seeing time at three infield positions and playing most days. Add in that he is hitting .309, and you have a player who can help your squad.

Home Runs (HR) - Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Boosters

Mickey Moniak, OF, Colorado Rockies (24% rostered)

Moniak continues to find success in Colorado. He has six home runs since returning from an injured list stint, all coming in his first 17 games of the season. Last season, he hit a career-high 24 homers and stole nine bases as well. He is a usable player in most formats.

See below. Moniak continues to barrel the baseball at high rates. Hitting second in the order, Moniak plays against all right-handed pitching and could get opportunities against left-handed pitching if he keeps hitting this way. Let's monitor it.

Dalton Rushing, C, Los Angeles Dodgers (13% rostered)

Rushing would be getting more playing time on most teams, but he plays for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Yet if he keeps homering, they may have no choice but to play him. He has gotten some opportunities at catcher and first base over the last couple of weeks and has produced seven home runs.

The Statcast data below shows how Rushing has massacred pitching lately; he's hitting .440. It might be hard to see where he can continue to get playing time, but if he hits, they will find a place for Rushing.

Gary Sanchez, C, Milwaukee Brewers (6% rostered)

Sanchez is a great addition in most formats, with Christian Yelich being down for a month or so. Sanchez should get the bulk of at-bats at the designated hitter spot. And why not? He has hit third or cleanup in his last six starts, and he has homered five times in April.

Look for that power trend to continue with consistent playing time, and Sanchez's 21.2% barrel rate tells you he is hitting the ball hard. Roster him while he is on a good streak.

Runs Batted In (RBI) - Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Boosters

Heliot Ramos, OF, San Francisco Giants (46% rostered)

Ramos often feels forgotten about in many leagues, but about half of the leagues are missing out on this useful player. Ramos has seven RBI over the last week, homering twice and scoring three runs as well. He's hitting .302 in his last 12 games. Need outfield help? Look at Ramos.

Luke Raley, 1B/OF, Seattle Mariners (32% rostered)

Raley is another first baseman and outfielder who plays well in spurts, and when he is going well, he is a rosterable player in most formats. Raley has been starting for the Mariners, and he has knocked in seven runs in the last 10 days.

Jake Burger, 1B, Texas Rangers (28% rostered)

Burger just demolishes baseballs and should be added to more rosters in many formats. The veteran first baseman knocked in two more runs Wednesday night, running his season total to 19, with five home runs as well. He is healthy, and he is back.

I love this chart below showing Burger's hard-hit percentage over the years. This year, it is an absurd 52.4%, good for the 89th percentile in the major leagues. More savvy players will add Burger, and you should, too, depending on your team's needs.

Stolen Bases (SB) - Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Boosters

Brenton Doyle, OF, Colorado Rockies (49% rostered)

Doyle is more of a speculative addition at this time. Doyle is starting in center field most days now, and we know he can run. In the last two years, he has stolen 30 and 18 bases, respectively. Four of those steals have been in April. Consider Doyle if you need steals.

Sam Antonacci, 2B/3B, Chicago White Sox (8% rostered)

Antonacci is up after some hype, and he has shown a propensity for baserunning, even as he is hitting only .190 thus far. His xBA is .301, so there has been some bad luck here. He hit his first home run on Tuesday, which was an inside-the-park variety.

While Antonacci has not stolen any bases yet, he did steal 48 bases last year between High-A and Double-A ball, so it would appear that he would run when he gets the opportunity.

Ezequiel Duran, 1B/2B/3B/SS/OF, Texas Rangers (2% rostered)

Duran is barely on the roster, but finds ways to be productive in Texas while maintaining eligibility at every position except pitcher and catcher. Duran has stolen three bases in his last four starts, and with Wyatt Langford potentially missing time, he could see more playing time. His speed plays.

Batting Average (AVG) - Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Boosters

Josh Jung, 3B, Texas Rangers

Jung is finally healthy again and hitting .390 in April with three homers and nine RBI over the last week of games. Is Jung finally hitting the level of production many fantasy players have been hoping for the last two seasons?

So far, Statcast supports the idea that this could be a breakout. Add him in leagues where you need corner infield help and a possible flyer with high upside here.

Casey Schmitt, 1B/2B/3B, San Francisco Giants (7% rostered)

Schmitt continues to find at-bats in San Francisco, and added first base eligibility to his position mix this week. Schmitt is hitting .315 in April without much other category oomph at this point, but the batting average will really help here. Ride it while it lasts.

Everson Pereira, OF, Chicago White Sox (1% rostered)

Could my beloved White Sox have uncovered a gem in Pereira? He has his batting average up to .268 and has slugged two home runs since he returned from the IL a week ago. The former top prospect in the New York Yankees system may have found a home here.

Check out his swing velocity below, and you can see Pereira is among the league's leaders in bat speed. To add, his hard-hit percentage is a whopping 52% in only 48 plate appearances. Look for Pereira to continue to get an opportunity in the outfield for the White Sox.

Good luck this week in adding useful players in these categories. Feel free to dial direct with me @mdrc0508 on X if you have questions or need to vent about your fantasy injury situations. Remember to take care of your mental health this spring.
