When is Dalton Kincaid coming back? Will Dalton Kincaid play again this season? Read about Dalton Kincaid's return date and injury updates for 2025 as of Week 13.
Buffalo Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid (hamstring) has now missed two consecutive games with a hamstring injury. It's been an unfortunate interruption to what looked a breakout third-year campaign.
In eight contests, he caught 29 of his 36 targets for 448 yards and four touchdowns, logging games with 14.8, 17.6, 16.8, and 22.1 PPR fantasy points. He's the TE8 in PPR points per game so far.
The Bills offense has struggled in his absence -- they were just shut down by the Houston Texans defense in Week 12 -- but when will Kincaid be able to return?

Dalton Kincaid Injury Update for Fantasy Football
Since he wasn't put on injured reserve, we know he's not likely to miss more than four contests. We're heading into his third potential missed game this week. The team themselves probably don't know where he's at exactly, and they'll have to continue to test him as practices for the week start.
Players can miss any amount of time with a hamstring injury, technically, but his wasn't serious to land him on IR, thankfully. We probably won't know if he'll play in Week 13 until we see him log full practices. He'll likely return in a limited capacity.
Dalton Kincaid Fantasy Football Outlook
It seemed like he was having a great season, so it's puzzling to look at his snap share and see a rate so low. He's only played 50 percent or more of the Bills offensive snaps three times in his eight games, yet he's highly productive when he is on the field.
We don't necessarily need to see that changing for him to continue to have good games, but it would help with his consistency and raise his ceiling. It's probably keeping us from seeing a top-5 TE season from him. Perhaps it has to do with his run-blocking issues, but it's on the offensive coordinator to get the best pass-catchers on the field.

He's developed nicely over his first two seasons in the NFL. He was drafted ahead of Detroit Lions TE Sam LaPorta (back), and it was pretty obvious pretty quickly who was the better player, but No. 86 has made impressive strides and become Buffalo's best pass-catching player.
Bills offensive coordinator Joe Brady has been the subject of heavy criticism for all aspects of his scheme, including his play-calling, pass protection setups, and personnel usage, but he seems to have his own reasons for not using Kincaid much. We'll see if that changes.

His quarterback is one of the most productive in the league when the offense is clicking. Bills QB Josh Allen is a high-volume passer and runner, and though he's struggled at times, it's notable that the offense looks clearly better when Kincaid is on the field.
The team is 6-1 in games he's played an 1-3 in their other contests, if that gives you an idea of his importance. A truly great pass-catching tight end is an absolute cheat code for an offense. Just ask San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle.
The best TEs are huge mismatches -- they're far too big and physical for cornerbacks to handle, but they're also too athletic for linebackers to effectively cover. Kincaid looks like he's developing into that style of player, so he should be started in all leagues as a TE1 when he returns.
