Patrick Mahomes Could Be In A Shootout In Week 6
Patrick Mahomes will take on the Detroit Lions on Sunday night in Week 6. Mahomes completed 29 of 41 pass attempts (71%) for 318 yards and a touchdown in last week's loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Despite the loss, the Chiefs superstar set a new season-high for passing yards and completion percentage. Mahomes also rushed six times for 60 yards and a touchdown in Week 5. Kansas City's offense hasn't quite hit its stride, but Mahomes has still been valuable for fantasy. The 30-year-old has recorded at least 57 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown three times in five weeks, giving him a strong floor to go along with his passing production. Mahomes should continue being a valuable fantasy asset against the Lions, who have scored the most points in the league this season. The Sunday night matchup has the highest total of the week, meaning that Mahomes and the Chiefs will need to score a lot to keep up with Detroit. Mahomes is ranked QB4 in our RotoBaller rankings, making him a strong QB1 this week.
