Marquise Brown Off Injury Report, Could Play Second Fiddle
Marquise Brown was on the injury report with an ankle injury but practiced fully all week and has been removed from the report ahead of Sunday's contest. Brown was expected to serve as the Chiefs WR1 with Xavier Worthy out against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 2. The speedster caught all five of his targets for 30 yards in Kansas City's loss last week. Brown's output was disappointing considering he earned 16 targets in Week 1 once Worthy exited the game. With Worthy officially questionable to play against the New York Giants on Sunday night, Brown could revert to his WR2 role in the offense. Despite having a less featured role, Brown could still have a good game against a Giants defense that was carved up by the Dallas Cowboys last week. Both CeeDee Lamb and Jake Ferguson had nine catches and at least 78 yards against the Giants secondary in Week 2. This Week 3 matchup could be what the Chiefs need to finally wake up their offense and Brown should be heavily involved. Brown is ranked WR42 in our RotoBaller Half-PPR rankings, making him a deeper league flex option this week.
