Patrick Mahomes Primed For Super Bowl Rematch
Patrick Mahomes will take on the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 2 for a Super Bowl rematch. The last time these two teams matched up, the Eagles ended up taking home the Lombardi trophy. Jalen Hurts and the gang are coming off a Thursday night win over the Dallas Cowboys in Week 1, while the Chiefs suffered a one-possession loss to the Los Angeles Chargers on Friday. The 29-year-old had a decent performance against the Chargers, passing for 258 yards and a touchdown while adding 57 yards and a score on the ground. That said, Mahomes will have the odds stacked against him on Sunday, facing one of the best defenses in the league without two of his top offensive weapons. Rashee Rice is still serving his suspension, and Xavier Worthy is listed as doubtful for the upcoming matchup. Despite playing at Arrowhead this weekend, Mahomes and the Chiefs are home underdogs against the Eagles. The Chiefs quarterback is ranked QB11 in our RotoBaller rankings this week, making him a fringe-QB1.
