Mark Andrews, Grant Calcaterra, Noah Gray: Start 'Em, Sit 'Em Picks for Fantasy Football Week 15

Mark Andrews - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups

Should I start Mark Andrews, Grant Calcaterra, or Noah Gray for Week 15? Fantasy football start em, sit em picks and recommendations for the 2024 NFL season.

Tight ends can be some of the most frustrating players to rely on in fantasy football, but they have the potential to make or break your playoff matchups.

Mark Andrews, Grant Calcaterra, and Noah Gray have shown flashes of fantasy relevance this season, making them intriguing options.

As the fantasy playoffs heat up, the question remains: can these tight ends deliver when it matters most? Let's assess whether you should trust them in Week 15.

Should I Start Mark Andrews for Fantasy Football?

Mark Andrews has been more dependable in recent weeks, with 11 receptions and two touchdowns over his last two games. However, the Oklahoma alum faces a tough Week 15 contest with the New York Giants, who have permitted the third-fewest fantasy points to tight ends this season.

Tight ends facing the Giants average just under four catches per game, and the team has given up only two touchdowns to the position in their last four games.

While Andrews' recent form makes him hard to bench, this matchup could severely limit his production. If you have a better alternative with a more favorable matchup, consider sitting the 29-year-old. You probably do not, so temper your expectations and hope for a red-zone opportunity. The tight end should do enough to crack the top-10 at the position this week.

He is the TE9 in our half-PPR consensus staff rankings.

Should I Start Grant Calcaterra for Fantasy Football?

With Dallas Goedert out, Grant Calcaterra has taken over as the Eagles' TE1, but his fantasy ceiling remains low. In Week 14, he hauled in all three of his targets for 16 yards and a game-winning touchdown versus the Carolina Panthers. This marked the SMU product's first score of the season (and his NFL career), but his role in the offense still lacks significant volume.

This week, Calcaterra faces the Pittsburgh Steelers, who are middle-of-the-pack against tight ends. While Pittsburgh allows an average of 8.31 targets per game to the position, the tight end has only seen more than four targets once this season.

He is a risky option for Week 15, with little upside beyond a potential touchdown. Proceed with caution and only start him if you are desperate at the tight end position.

He is the TE22 in our half-PPR consensus staff rankings.

Should I Start Noah Gray for Fantasy Football?

Noah Gray has carved out a role alongside Travis Kelce in the Kansas City Chiefs' offense, particularly in two-tight end sets. In Week 14, the 25-year-old corralled four of his five targets for 26 yards, continuing his recent streak of involvement. Over his past four games, Gray has tallied 16 catches for 173 yards and four touchdowns.

This week, he faces the Cleveland Browns, a team that has surrendered the eighth-most fantasy points to tight ends this season. Cleveland has given up six touchdowns to the position and 6.85 targets per game.

While Gray remains touchdown-dependent, his recent production and promising matchup make him a good flyer for Week 15. He is worth starting if you are swinging for more upside. Otherwise, he should stay on your bench.

He is TE24 in our half-PPR consensus staff rankings.
