Running back is the scarcest position in fantasy football. It's difficult to have a roster loaded with multiple starting options at this position in most leagues. However, shallower leagues do exist, and sometimes, teams who play their cards right or hit multiple times on late-round steals in the drafts can find themselves in good positions.

It's now time for the first game of the fantasy football playoffs for the majority of leagues, so start-sit decisions are more important than ever. One-and-done isn't fun. Making sure you start the right guys and getting through to the next round is definitely more fun.

We're just stating obvious things now, so let's break down three backs to consider starting in Week 15.

Should I Start Isiah Pacheco for Fantasy Football?

As is often the case with players returning from major injuries, Kansas City Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco has underwhelmed in his return to play. He's scored just 5.9 and 8.1 PPR fantasy points in the last two weeks. His snap percentage increased from 37 to 46, but his touches doubled.

It should not be surprising to anyone that he's not being immediately thrust into a workhorse role again. He's being slowly worked back in. The Chiefs indicated that they would do this. He should get more snaps and possibly more touches in the next game, but he's a risky player to start outside of deeper leagues.

If you have 12 or more teams in your league, we'd recommend starting Pacheco as an RB3/FLEX. If you're in the playoffs in a league with 10 or fewer teams, you likely have better options.

Should I Start Brian Robinson Jr. for Fantasy Football?

Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. has an extremely easy matchup coming up against the New Orleans Saints in Week 15. They've been very weak against the run, allowing five yards per carry. That's tied for the worst in the league. Robinson carried the ball 16 times for 103 yards and a touchdown and caught one pass for six yards in Week 14.

You shouldn't bench him for his best matchup of the year. He's the clear lead back for his team and is healthy, and with Saints quarterback Derek Carr (hand, concussion) set to miss the game, Washington should build an early lead and rely heavily on its RBs in a positive game script. We prefer him over Pacheco.

Should I Start Chuba Hubbard for Fantasy Football?

Yes, without question. Carolina Panthers running back Chuba Hubbard made many fantasy managers regret benching him when he scored 20.7 PPR fantasy points in Week 15 by rushing 26 times for 92 yards and a touchdown and hauling in four of his five targets for 15 yards.

His stat line in Week 13 was pretty atrocious when he rushed 12 times for just 43 yards and lost a fumble. But he bounced back impressively against a tough Philadelphia Eagles defense just a week later. Bad games happen, but he's still the RB12 on the season, and the team has been feeding him plenty of volume.

You should start him for the rest of the season in all leagues. He's matched up with a poor run defense. If you had to choose between Hubbard and BRob, that would be a coin flip in our eyes.
