When Is Drake London Coming Back - Fantasy Football Injury Return Update for Week 14 (2025)

Drake London - NFL, Fantasy football rankings, waiver wire, dfs

When is Drake London coming back? Will Drake London play again this season? Read about Drake London's return date and injury updates for 2025 as of Week 14.

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Drake London (knee) hasn't had great luck with injuries this season. He'd been mostly healthy in his career to this point, missing just one game in his first three seasons in the NFL.

That's a pretty good track record, and while it's hard to blame players for injuries, he's been decided less able to stay on the field this season. He missed Week 8, 12, and 13 with a variety of injuries.

We're coming up on Week 14, the final week before the fantasy football playoffs begin. London was often a second-round draft pick in fantasy football drafts, so he's a crucial player in many lineups. So when will he be back? Let's dive in.

Drake London Injury Update for Fantasy Football

London wasn't able to play in Week 13. He suffered a PCL injury to his left knee in Week 12 while falling to the turf. PCL injuries are common when players bang their knees, often with a lot of force, onto hard surfaces like turf or very colt grass and dirt.

London was ruled out of his Week 12 game, so he wasn't able to finish that one, either. The Falcons are still in playoff contention despite a tumultuous season, and even though they just lost to the New York Jets led by a backup quarterback, they could run the table and finish 9-8.

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Ricky Pearsall had a PCL injury and missed six weeks, but not all injuries are created equal, of course. London reportedly has "a chance" to take the field in Week 14, but we're not sure yet. It's Tuesday, so we won't see the team's practice report until Wednesday.

If we don't see him practice at all, it will be very unlikely he takes the field. We'd like to see a trio of limited practices, or at least limited practices starting on Thursday. But it would be wise for the team to let him get healthy.

This is probably already a lost season despite Atlanta not being eliminated yet. They suffered crushing losses to the aforementioned Jets and the Carolina Panthers, among others, and their starting quarterback, Michael Penix Jr. (knee), is out for the season.

Drake London Fantasy Football Outlook

London projects to be an absolute must-start WR1 for the rest of the season. It's possible his ceiling could be a bit lower with Penix out and quarterback Kirk Cousins starting, though. Cousins is 37 years old and doesn't quite look like his old self.

But London has truly developed into one of the best receivers in the league. He's able to effectively use his 6-foot-5 frame to be one of the few pass-catchers in the NFL that can truly still "Moss" defenders by leaping over them and catching footballs at their high point.

He's the primary red zone threat for his team, and gets quite a few looks at the goal line due to his size and athleticism. It seems like there are so many fewer true endzone TD threats in the NFL these days than there were 10 years ago. It gives him fantastic upside.

And he had a dominant target share as he was getting into his groove this season -- he averaged 11.6 targets per contest in his last five fully healthy games. He produced games with 25.0, 31.8, 38.8, and 18.9 PPR fantasy points in his best four of those games.

If you have him on your fantasy football squads, you just have to hope he gets fully healthy quickly. Even if he's on a pitch count in his first game back, you can't leave him on the bench because of his raw upside. And if he can come back healthy, he can be a league-winner.
