Week 10 fantasy football waiver wire pickups for David Njoku, Mason Taylor, Theo Johnson in 2025. Read their waiver wire outlooks for fantasy football.
There's plenty of reason to be shopping for a tight end on waivers right now. Perhaps you have San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle and are disappointed to see his mediocre production.
You might have also drafted Green Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft (knee), but unfortunately for him, his season is over due to a torn ACL. And unfortunately for those who managed him in fantasy leagues, they won't have his monster upside moving forward.
Cleveland Browns TE David Njoku, New York Jets tight end Mason Taylor, and New York Giants TE Theo Johnson are three players you could potentially grab to replace them. But which should you pick up off waivers?

The Browns had their bye week in Week 9. That afforded Njoku time to recover from his knee injury, and he'll return to being a prominent part of Cleveland's passing offense. The Browns made a big change, shipping off QB Joe Flacco to the Cincinnati Bengals and starting their third-round rookie QB, Dillon Gabriel.
While it's been a rough stretch, Gabriel has clearly shown a preference for targeting his tight ends. Maybe it's because he's on the shorter side and struggles to see over the offensive linemen, but it does benefit both Njoku and backup TE Harold Fannin Jr.

Njoku is the team's biggest pass-catcher, and has been a solid red zone weapon for many years. He'll likely get a nice helping of targets next week against a vulnerable New York Jets defense that's been somewhat soft against tight ends. He's a fine start since the TE position is so low-scoring, so he's a player that should be picked up in 12 team leagues.
Mason Taylor Week 10 Waiver Wire Pickups
Rostered: 25% of Leagues
Baller Move: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
Taylor will probably be held back due to him being on a terrible offense all season. The New York Jets have two bad passing quarterbacks that haven't been able to support decent passing games at any point this season. And we don't even know if Justin Fields or Tyrod Taylor will start this week.
The Jets faced the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 8, and barely scraped out a win against the NFL's worst defense. Taylor hasn't been particularly exciting this year -- it looks like he actually doesn't have a ton of upside compared to guys like Oronde Gadsden or Colston Loveland.
The trick play that flipped the game 🪄🏈

Part of that is being on the Jets, but it could be that he's the Parker Washington of tight ends -- very consistent, but not good enough to demand consistent targets. I'm not sure I would bother with him outside of deep leagues. A matchup against the tough Cleveland Browns defense is upcoming.
Theo Johnson Week 10 Waiver Wire Pickups
Rostered: 22% of Leagues
Baller Move: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
We still haven't seen Johnson's production be consistent. With rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart consistently lighting things up in fantasy football, you'd think his pass-catchers would be more consistently utilized. Johnson had just six targets, catching three of them for 27 yards and a touchdown.
He's been a very effective red zone weapon and not much else this season. He has just one game with more than 50 receiving yards, which came in Week 7, and he's averaging only 26.6 receiving yards per game. His value has mostly been propped up by his five touchdown catches.
The Theo Johnson experiment is a painful one...

Dart's pass-catchers have been affected by a chronic drop problem, and it's hard to blame Dart, as one of his biggest criticisms heading into the NFL was his lack of arm strength. Perhaps this will improve over time, but Johnson also benefited from the absence of backup TE Daniel Bellinger (neck) and didn't have a big day.
In deep leagues he's worth a stash as a hedge on Dart's upside.
