Waiver Wire Watchlist for Fantasy Football Week 4

Joey's fantasy football waiver wire watchlist before Week 4 of 2025. You should keep an eye on these emerging players and consider them waiver wire stashes.

Welcome to Week 4 of our fantasy football waiver wire watchlist for the 2025 NFL season. Week 3 featured some surprising performances from players available on the waiver wire, including WRs Tre Tucker (eight catches for 145 yards and three touchdowns) and Tory Horton (95-yard punt return TD and a receiving TD).

You know the drill by now: All players listed in this article are rostered in less than 50% of fantasy football leagues, meaning that they are available more often than not. That's why Tucker isn't on this list (he's owned in nearly 57% of leagues!).

With that being said, here are five players still on the majority of waiver wires who could help you make significant strides in your fantasy football league. Good luck on the waiver wire and happy hunting!

Week 4 Waiver Wire Running Backs

Blake Corum, Los Angeles Rams - 17% rostered

Corum has been on this list before, but clearly, fantasy managers aren't excited about a player who is the RB2 on his team. However, the former Michigan running back has been exceptional in the limited work he's received. Corum has rushed for 99 yards and a touchdown on just 14 carries through three games (7.1 yards per carry).

Last week against the Eagles, Corum had a season-high eight carries for 53 yards, showing that he deserves more touches despite the presence of Kyren Williams. He has earned more touches each week, with two in Week 1 and five in Week 2 before last Sunday.

Corum's continued efficiency has surpassed that of Williams (4.1 YPC), so he should earn more early down work as the year goes on. He may not surpass Williams at any point, but it is possible that he could earn a 50-50 split by the end of the season.

Corum should not be on waivers for much longer, but as long as Williams is healthy, he will be. If Williams were to get injured, Corum would become an immediate starter and potential league-winner.

Hassan Haskins, Los Angeles Chargers  - 3% rostered

Najee Harris is out for the season, which, of course, is good news for Omarion Hampton. But it's also good news for Haskins, who is the only healthy RB on the roster outside of the talented rookie.

In the past, Haskins has not been very effective as a rusher, averaging just 3.1 yards per carry for his career. However, that could change behind a solid Chargers offensive line. He is also a serviceable goal-line back, meaning Haskins could be an occasional TD vulture.

Haskins also has a good relationship with head coach Jim Harbaugh, who coached him in college at the University of Michigan. This could help him get onto the field more than initially anticipated.

Make no mistake, Haskins is not going to become the Chargers' RB1. But he does have standalone value as a bench player due to his potential goal-line role in a good offense.

Week 4 Waiver Wire Wide Receivers

Tyquan Thornton, Kansas City Chiefs  - 13% rostered

The young receiver has found a home in Kansas City after struggling to make an impact in New England's putrid offense. He's established chemistry with Patrick Mahomes and put up career-best numbers in Week 3 against the Giants. The 25-year-old snagged five passes for 71 targets and a touchdown in the Chiefs' 22-9 win.

With the Chiefs searching for big plays in the passing game, Thornton's speed has helped provide them. He's shown off his ability to get downfield in a hurry and make highlight-reel catches.

Thornton may not have value for long, as his increased target share is primarily due to the absence of Xavier Worthy (shoulder) and Rashee Rice (suspension). Worthy practiced in full on Wednesday and Thursday, so he will likely play on Sunday, which does limit Thornton's value a bit.

When Rice returns in Week 7, Thornton will probably not be startable in fantasy from that point forward. But until then, Thornton has a key role catching passes from one of the NFL's top quarterbacks. You can pick up Thornton as a fringe starter or as a bench option, but do it soon, as Week 7 will likely be his expiration date for fantasy football purposes.

Christian Kirk, Houston Texans - 27% rostered

The Texans offense has looked miserable so far this season, with a consistently poor offensive line and ineffective play-calling. However, Kirk's return to health could bode well for Houston. While he caught just three passes in his Texans debut, Kirk was targeted eight times, indicating that he's already earned the trust of quarterback C.J. Stroud.

His day was also very close to being much, much better. The wideout was just a hair away from snagging a deep ball for a score late in the game against the Jaguars.

Regardless, Kirk is the clear WR2 in Houston and has held off rookies Jaylin Noel and Jayden Higgins. He's a slot-focused receiver, so Higgins will still get snaps, but Kirk will get more targets than any Houston receiver not named Nico Collins.

The veteran could prove to be a reliable possession receiver and third-down option for Stroud, and Houston should look to scheme up touches for him on underneath routes and zone beaters. He's a fringe flex option with potential for more depending on the matchup, but for now, take it slow with him until the Houston offense improves.

Jalen Tolbert, Dallas Cowboys - 2% rostered

The Cowboys' poor defense means they'll have to rely more on the pass than they would like to. While they are missing star WR CeeDee Lamb with a high ankle sprain, the Cowboys have the depth at the WR position to make things work. George Pickens will be the WR1 in Lamb's absence, but Jalen Tolbert is also one to watch for an increased role.

Tolbert showed he could be a dependable secondary option in 2024, catching 49 passes for 610 yards and seven touchdowns. He did this mostly without starting QB Dak Prescott, who suffered a season-ending hamstring injury. Tolbert was still able to have an impact catching passes from backup Cooper Rush.

With Pickens taking the attention of defenses, Tolbert could be a sneaky productive player for the Cowboys in these next few weeks. He's been around for long enough that a big breakout is unlikely, but the occasional 50-yard, one-TD game is very possible.

Tolbert is available in the vast majority of leagues, and he's worth a look if you need depth at receiver. He's probably not a safe starting option right away, but could be later on if his role is consistently bigger than expected.
