1 year agoCleveland Guardians outfielder Will Brennan (shoulder) was removed from Wednesday's game early against the Oakland Athletics after apparently injuring his shoulder while making a diving catch in the fourth inning. We should have an update on the exact nature of Brennan's injury before long, so make sure to check back for more details. He was replaced in the game by pinch-hitter Gabriel Arias. Brennan went 0-for-2 in the contest before departing to drop his season average to .267. Entering Wednesday's game, the 25-year-old left-handed hitter was batting .270 (50-for-185) with four home runs, 12 doubles, 20 RBI, six stolen bases and 19 runs scored in 64 games (195 plate appearances) in just his second major-league season.
