Wenceel Perez Returns to Tigers Lineup
Detroit Tigers outfielder Wenceel Perez (foot) is starting in right field and batting third in the order for Monday's series opener on the road against the division-rival Chicago White Sox and right-handed opener Elvis Peguero. Perez fouled a ball off his right foot in the loss to the Los Angeles Angels on Saturday and was held out of Sunday's series finale. The 25-year-old switch-hitting Dominican outfielder will hope to keep up what has been a strong start to the month, has he's gone 10-for-24 (.417) with two home runs, a triple, three RBI, four runs scored and a steal in eight games. Overall, he's hitting .267 (52-for-195) with nine long balls, 25 RBI, 33 runs scored and six stolen bases in 58 games in just his second season in the big leagues. Perez should be considered a deep DFS sleeper in his return to the lineup on Monday.
