Wenceel Perez Returns to Tigers Lineup
Wenceel Perez (foot) is starting in right field and batting third in the order for Monday's series opener on the road against the division-rival Chicago White Sox and right-handed opener Elvis Peguero. Perez fouled a ball off his right foot in the loss to the Los Angeles Angels on Saturday and was held out of Sunday's series finale. The 25-year-old switch-hitting Dominican outfielder will hope to keep up what has been a strong start to the month, has he's gone 10-for-24 (.417) with two home runs, a triple, three RBI, four runs scored and a steal in eight games. Overall, he's hitting .267 (52-for-195) with nine long balls, 25 RBI, 33 runs scored and six stolen bases in 58 games in just his second season in the big leagues. Perez should be considered a deep DFS sleeper in his return to the lineup on Monday.
