Tyler Wells to Make Two More Rehab Starts
Tyler Wells (elbow) will make two more minor-league rehab starts before he's reinstated from the 60-day injured list, according to MASN's Roch Kubatko. Wells has not pitched for the Orioles all year after having an internal-brace procedure on his right UCL back in June of 2024. The 30-year-old made his fourth minor-league rehab start last Friday and is nearing his 2025 debut, although fantasy managers would be better off targeting right-hander Kyle Bradish (elbow), who is also on the cusp of his season debut after recovering from Tommy John surgery. With Bradish set to return before Wells, it's possible that Baltimore uses Wells out of th bullpen to close out their disappointing season. Wells has a 4.06 ERA (4.54 FIP), 1.04 WHIP and 271:77 K:BB in 294 2/3 innings in his 95 MLB outings (46 starts) since debuting for the O's in 2021.
