Terry McLaurin Visits With Core-Muscle Specialist
Terry McLaurin (quadriceps) has already received several opinions, including from Dr. Williams Meyers, the nation's leading expert in core-muscle injuries, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. McLaurin, who missed practice on Wednesday, will receive another opinion on his injured quad muscle on Wednesday. As of now, the Commanders think he's dealing with a quad injury, but more tests are coming, and McLaurin's status is in doubt for Week 4 against the Atlanta Falcons. McLaurin still has two more days to practice, but as things currently stand, it sounds as though he's on the wrong side of questionable to play this weekend. We'll continue to monitor his status closely as we get closer to the weekend. If McLaurin cannot suit up against Atlanta, Luke McCaffrey and rookie Jaylin Lane should see their roles expand behind Deebo Samuel Sr. and tight end Zach Ertz.
