Saints Expected To Make Play For Austin Seferian-Jenkins
7 years agoThe New Orleans Saints are expected to make a big play for free-agent tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins after they lost out on reuniting with Jimmy Graham. The Falcons and Seahawks are also interested in ASF after he caught 50 passes for 357 yards and three touchdowns for the Jets in 2017. While Seferian-Jenkins cut out his off-field drama last year and put up career highs, he also had a career-low 7.1 yards per catch and disappeared from the offense in long stretches. A move to New Orleans to be paired with quarterback Drew Brees would certainly raise Seferian-Jenkins' value, but he'd still probably be more of a touchdown-dependent high-end TE2/low-end TE1.
