Ryan Braun Not Comfortable At First Base
7 years agoMilwaukee Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun, who was playing left field in spring training Saturday, said he's "not remotely comfortable" playing at first base yet. Given Milwaukee's plethora of outfielders in 2018, the team would like Braun to move to first base and share time with Eric Thames. Injuries always remain a concern for Braun, too, which is another reason the Brew Crew would like to see him play more at first base. Braun still managed to hit .268 with 17 home runs and 52 RBI in 2017 despite playing in just 104 games, but he's unlikely to bounce back to his previous elite levels of production, especially with his playing time somewhat in question.
