Roman Anthony Still Not Ready to Begin Baseball Activities
Roman Anthony (oblique) will head to Florida to continue rehabbing from a strained left oblique, according to Christopher Smith of MassLive.com. However, Anthony said Sunday that there's still no timetable for him to start baseball activities. Although the Red Sox have gone without the rookie sensation since placing him on the 10-day injured list on Sept. 3, they still managed to earn a playoff berth in his absence. The club is now gearing up to take on the archrival New York Yankees in a best-of-three wild-card series. If Boston knocks off New York, it'll begin an ALDS series on Oct. 4, though it seems optimistic to expect Anthony back by then. In 71 games and 303 plate appearances this season, the 21-year-old slashed .292/.396/.463 with eight homers, 32 RBI, 48 runs scored, and four stolen bases.

De'Anthony Melton Returning to Golden State
De'Anthony Melton will sign with Golden State. The 2018 No. 46 overall pick appeared in only six games for the Warriors last season before suffering a torn ACL. He played relatively well despite the small sample size, averaging 10.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.2 steals. Melton was traded to Brooklyn ahead of the deadline, although he never suited up for the Nets due to the injury. It was announced on Sunday that Gary Payton II and Al Horford would also be inking deals with the Dubs, so the team is on track to rounding out the roster after months of failed negotiations with restricted free-agent Jonathan Kuminga. As far as Melton is concerned, he'll likely hold a routine role in Steve Kerr's rotation while being used situationally for defensive reasons. However, he's not expected to be a consistent producer for fantasy managers even if he ends up spending time in the starting lineup.

Baker Mayfield Makes Splash Plays Through the Air, Comes Up Short in Loss to Eagles
Baker Mayfield had a questionable tag going into the Week 4 matchup against the defending Super Bowl-champion Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday due to a biceps injury, but he played through it. Mayfield was not efficient, completing 22 of his 40 pass attempts, but he managed to throw for a season-high 289 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception in a 31-25 loss. He was sacked twice for a loss of 17 yards and also fumbled, but he was able to recover it. The 30-year-old ran twice for a gain of 13 yards. Mayfield's two touchdowns were both 70-plus-yard passes to rookie receiver Emeka Egbuka and running back Bucky Irving. The efficiency was not there, but all in all, it was a pretty good day for Mayfield, given the opponent and the fact that he was without top wideout Mike Evans (hamstring). He'll be on the QB1/2 borderline again in Week 5 against the 3-1 Seattle Seahawks.

Brayan Bello to Start Game 2 of Wild-Card Series
Brayan Bello will start Game 2 of the team's wild-card series against the New York Yankees on Wednesday, manager Alex Cora announced. Bello, who will follow Game 1 starter Garrett Crochet and battle left-hander Carlos Rodon, held his own over three regular-season outings against the Yankees. He went 2-1 in those matchups and threw 19 innings of four-run, 11-hit ball with 17 strikeouts and seven walks. Bello finished the season 11-9 with a 3.35 ERA, a 1.24 WHIP, 124 strikeouts, and 59 walks in 166 1/2 innings, though he hasn't been at his best in recent weeks. In five starts this month, the 26-year-old went 1-3 and struggled to a 5.40 ERA with 16:12 K:BB across 25 frames.

Jalen Hurts Throws Two Touchdowns in Low-Volume Passing Day in Week 4 Win
Jalen Hurts led his team to a 4-0 start with a 31-25 win on the road in Week 4 over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. It was another low-volume day for Philly's passing attack, but Hurts did throw two touchdowns (both to tight end Dallas Goedert) while going 15-for-24 passing for 130 yards through the air. He padded his fantasy stats on the day with nine carries for an additional 62 yards, which led the team. Hurts was sacked only twice for a loss of 18 yards. The 27-year-old dual-threat signal-caller now has five passing touchdowns in the last two weeks after failing to throw a TD pass in the first two games. However, Sunday's win over Tampa was Hurts' first game in 2025 without a rushing score. He has yet to throw a pick this year, but that will be tested in a tough Week 5 matchup against the Denver Broncos.

Quinshon Judkins Goes Over 100 Scrimmage Yards in Blowout Loss
Quinshon Judkins was one of the team's lone bright spots on Sunday in the 34-10 blowout loss to the hosting Detroit Lions in Week 4. Judkins dominated backfield work with a season-high 21 carries for 82 yards and a touchdown. He caught all four of his targets for an additional 33 yards in the passing game. The 21-year-old Ohio State product has now found the end zone in back-to-back weeks and is the clear lead back in Cleveland despite not making his NFL debut until Week 2. Veteran quarterback Joe Flacco was second on the team behind Judkins with only three carries. Judkins has seen more work each week out of the Browns' backfield, and even though Cleveland's lack of efficiency on offense limits his overall fantasy upside, the expected volume makes him a must-start. He will look to score for a third straight game in London in a Week 5 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings.

Quentin Johnston Scores Fourth Touchdown of the Year in Week 4
Quentin Johnston has made it clear through four weeks that he is one of quarterback Justin Herbert's go-to wideouts, especially deep down the field. Johnston led the Bolts in catches (eight), targets (13), and receiving yards (98) while scoring his fourth touchdown of the year on Sunday in the 21-18 loss on the road to the New York Giants. The 24-year-old was looking like a first-round bust last year amid limited production and high-profile drops, but he has turned it around in a big way and is the club's leading receiver through four weeks. It's been bad news for second-year pass-catcher Ladd McConkey, but fantasy managers who scooped Johnston up after his two-touchdown performance in Week 1 have been thrilled. His touchdown was an impressive 36-yard hookup with Herbert in the second quarter just before halftime. Johnston should be considered a must-start in Week 5 against a shaky Washington Commanders' secondary.

Jaxson Dart Throws for a TD, Runs for One to Win his First NFL Start
Jaxson Dart did enough to lead his team to their first win in 2025 in Week 4 while also giving the Los Angeles Chargers their first loss. Against a tough Chargers defense, Dart went 13-for-20 passing for 111 yards, one touchdown, and no interceptions while adding 10 carries for 54 yards and another score in a 21-18 victory. He was sacked five times for a loss of 25 yards. The 22-year-old ran 15 yards to the end zone on his first drive of the game. The Ole Miss product's first career TD pass went to tight end Theo Johnson on a shovel pass in the third quarter. Dart was briefly checked for a concussion, but thankfully was able to return quickly. His dual-threat abilities give him intriguing long-term upside, but there will be growing pains, especially if top wideout Malik Nabers (knee) is lost for the year with a torn ACL. New York's schedule lightens up in Week 5 against the New Orleans Saints, though, where Dart will be an upside QB2 play in fantasy.

Miles Sanders Questionable to Return With Ankle Injury
Miles Sanders (ankle) suffered an ankle injury in the first half of Sunday night's game against the visiting Green Bay Packers and is questionable to return, according to Calvin Watkins of the Dallas Morning News. Before his injury, Sanders had only two carries for eight yards while catching both of his targets for an additional 17 yards. With rookie Jaydon Blue inactive for the fourth straight week to open his rookie season, Hunter Luepke will be the backup to starter Javonte Williams if Sanders cannot return in the second half. If Sanders does not return on Sunday night and is unable to get the green light to play in Week 5 against the New York Jets, Blue would almost certainly be active for the first time in 2025. Sanders came into Week 4 with 18 carries for 109 yards (6.1 yards per carry) and a touchdown while adding six catches for 13 yards

Emeka Egbuka Records Fourth Touchdown of 2025 in Week 4
Emeka Egbuka recorded four catches for 101 yards and a touchdown on 10 targets in his team's 31-25 Week 4 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. The 22-year-old has now recorded 18 catches for 282 yards and four touchdowns on 31 targets through the first four games of his NFL career. With veteran wideout Mike Evans (hamstring) sidelined by a hamstring injury, Egbuka and Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin tied for the team lead in targets against the Eagles in Week 4. For as long as Evans remains out, Egbuka could be the number one option in the Tampa Bay passing game for quarterback Baker Mayfield. Egbuka profiles as a must-start fantasy wide receiver going into a Week 5 matchup with the Seattle Seahawks.

Nick Pivetta Starting Game 1 of Wild-Card Series
Nick Pivetta will start Game 1 of the wild-card series on Tuesday against the Cubs, reports AJ Cassavell of MLB.com. This is no surprise, as he has been the Padres' clear ace in 2025, posting a 2.87 ERA, 0.99 WHIP, 190 strikeouts, and 50 walks in 181 ⅔ innings. The Cubs have yet to announce who will take the mound opposite Pivetta, but it figures to be either Matthew Boyd or Shoto Imanaga. It's worth noting that the 32-year-old has been shakier as of late, particularly in his last start, where he walked five batters in 5 ⅔ innings against the Brewers.

James Cook Tops 100 Rushing Yards for Third Straight Week
James Cook posted another huge game in Week 4 in his team's 31-19 victory over the New Orleans Saints. Cook recorded 117 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries and added three catches for 18 yards for good measure as well. The 26-year-old has now logged 401 rushing yards and five touchdowns on 75 carries and 12 receptions for 89 yards through his first four games of 2025. He dominated backfield touches in Week 4, earning 22 out of 24 rush attempts by running backs for Buffalo against New Orleans. As long as he's healthy, Cook is a must-start fantasy running back.

Pete Alonso to Opt Out of Contract and Enter Free Agency
Pete Alonso may no longer be a Met, as he plans to opt out of his contract and enter free agency, reports Anthony DiComo of MLB.com. He signed a two-year deal for $54 million prior to the season, but he is ultimately choosing to opt out of his $24 million expected payment for 2026. The 30-year-old should be able to score a lucrative contract on the free agent market, as he is coming off a season where he slashed .272/.347/.524 with 38 home runs, 126 RBI, and 87 runs. The announcement is coming sooner than many expected, but the Mets shockingly missed the playoffs after a late-season collapse.

Travis Etienne Jr. Dominates in Week 4 Win
Travis Etienne Jr. dominated the San Francisco 49ers with 19 carries for 124 yards and a touchdown in his team's 26-21 Week 4 win. The 26-year-old is off to a terrific start to the 2025 season, with 65 carries for 394 yards and two touchdowns as a rusher, and six catches for 32 yards and a score as a receiver through his first four games. Etienne Jr. is also dominating backfield touches in Jacksonville so far, as Jaguars backup running backs Bhayshul Tuten and LeQuint Allen Jr. combined for just six touches in Week 4. Etienne Jr. profiles as a must-start fantasy running back going into a Week 5 showdown with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Clayton Kershaw Not Available for Wild-Card Series
Clayton Kershaw will not be available for the wild card series, reports David Vassegh of SportsNet LA. However, he would be available for the later series if the Dodgers advance. This makes sense, as Kershaw pitched on Sunday to close out the regular season, striking out seven over 5 1/3 shutout innings against the Mariners in what will be the last regular-season start of his 18-year career. There simply isn't enough room to fit him into their rotation plans for a three-game series, as Los Angeles is stacked with Blake Snell, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Shohei Ohtani, and Tyler Glasnow.

Lamar Jackson Suffers Hamstring Strain in Week 4, Set for Further Evaluation on Monday
Lamar Jackson (hamstring) was forced to exit in the third quarter of his team's Week 4 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs due to a hamstring strain. Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk reports that Jackson felt a "grab" in his hamstring and will undergo further evaluation on Monday. Jackson finished Week 4 by going 14 of 20 through the air for 147 passing yards, one touchdown, and one interception. He also rushed six times for 48 yards. Jackson was replaced by veteran quarterback Cooper Rush, who completed nine of 13 pass attempts for 52 yards against Kansas City. If Jackson were to miss time, Rush would be in line to start Baltimore's Week 5 matchup with the Houston Texans.

Max Muncy Expected to be Ready for Game 1 of Wild-Card Series
Max Muncy (lower body) is expected to be ready for the first game of the wild-card series on Tuesday, reports Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register. He's been out since Thursday with what has been described as a lower-body injury, forcing him to miss the last four games of the regular season. However, manager Dave Roberts seems confident that the veteran will be ready for the matchup against the Reds, so the injury doesn't appear to be serious. The 35-year-old has been productive when healthy in 2025, hitting 19 home runs and posting a .376 on-base percentage in 100 games.

Amon-Ra St. Brown Records Two More Touchdowns in Week 4
Amon-Ra St. Brown recorded seven catches for 70 yards and two touchdowns in his team's 34-10 Week 4 win over the Cleveland Browns. St. Brown is on a touchdown heater with six scores in his last three games. To go along with the six touchdowns, the 25-year-old has hauled in 27 catches for 314 yards on 32 targets through his first four games of 2025. As long as St. Brown stays healthy, he profiles as a must-start fantasy WR1.

Garrett Crochet Starting Game 1 of Wild-Card Series
Garrett Crochet will start the first game of the wild card series against the Yankees on Tuesday, reports Mac Cerullo of the Boston Herald. The 26-year-old will face off against Max Fried in what could be a pitcher's duel, with both starters going into the contest with a regular season ERA below 3.00. Crochet was one of the best pitchers in baseball this season, posting a 2.59 ERA, 1.03 WHIP, 255 strikeouts, and 46 walks through 205 ⅓ innings. The Red Sox haven't yet announced their plans for the second game of the series, in which Carlos Rodon is toeing the rubber for New York.

Drake London Breaks Out With Monster Game in Week 4
Drake London broke out of an early-season slump with a dominant Week 4 performance in his team's 34-27 win over the Washington Commanders. London recorded eight catches for 110 yards and a touchdown on 10 targets. The 24-year-old has now logged 24 receptions for 269 yards and a score on 37 targets through four games. London's current average of 9.25 targets per game would put him on pace for over 150 targets in a 17-game season, so his production going forward is more a question of efficiency than volume. As long as he stays healthy, London profiles as a must-start fantasy wide receiver.

Christian McCaffrey Leads 49ers in Targets, Catches, and Receiving Yards in Week 4
Christian McCaffrey struggled to be efficient as a rusher in his team's Week 4 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, finishing with 17 carries for 49 yards. However, McCaffrey saved his day with his work as a receiver, hauling in six catches for 92 yards and a touchdown on 11 targets. The 29-year-old has now recorded 560 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns on 100 total touches through four games. McCaffrey has not had much success on the ground (3.3 yards per carry), but it won't matter as long as he keeps seeing such a high volume of targets in the passing game. If McCaffrey's health continues to hold up under this type of per-game workload, he could be the number one player in fantasy this season.

Bo Bichette Without a Timeline, Unlikely to Return in Postseason?
Bo Bichette (knee) is still doing some light hitting and throwing, but he doesn't have a clear timeline past that, reports Keegan Matheson of MLB.com. It's hard to know how far he is into recovery until he starts running, as that is the major test for the left knee sprain that sent him to the injured list on September 9. The good news for the Blue Jays is that they secured a first-round bye in the playoffs, as it would have been very unlikely for the 27-year-old to improve enough to play in the wild-card series. Instead, they'll hope to have him ready for the ALDS, which begins on Saturday, October 4.

Patrick Mahomes Excellent in Clean Win Over Talented AFC Opponent
Patrick Mahomes completed 25 of 37 pass attempts for 270 yards, four touchdowns, and zero sacks during Sunday's Week 4 win over the Baltimore Ravens. He also took one sack and rushed for five yards. This was one of Mahomes' best outings in a long time, as well as the first time he threw for four touchdowns since 2023. The star quarterback has now scored at least 24 fantasy points in three of four games this season, ranking as the overall QB3 so far. He should be viewed as a top-five fantasy quarterback option heading into next week's matchup against a Jaguars defense that is playing surprisingly well.

Justice Hill Carries Ravens Offense With Two Scores in Otherwise Gloomy Loss
Justice Hill had three carries, 76 rushing yards, five catches, 41 receiving yards, and two total touchdowns during Sunday's Week 4 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Baltimore lost by three possessions and also watched Lamar Jackson (hamstring) leave with an injury, so it's fair to say that Hill's big game was one of the lone bright spots. He probably won't be able to replicate his big outing next week, especially since one of his touchdowns came on a 71-yard rush in garbage time. However, his general involvement and productivity indicate that he could still be in line for a larger role going forward. Hill played more than 50 percent of the snaps in Week 3 and has 11 catches over his last three games. Last season, he scored at least 11.5 fantasy points (PPR) in one-third of his contests. Moving forward, he should be viewed as a mid-to-low RB4 with RB3 upside in PPR leagues.

Puka Nacua Strengthens Grasp on WR1 Title with Explosive Game Sunday
Puka Nacua caught 13 of 15 targets for 170 yards and one touchdown during Sunday's Week 4 win over the Indianapolis Colts. Nacua was already the top-scoring fantasy receiver entering this week, and he only widened the gap between himself and the rest of the league on Sunday afternoon. The 24-year-old has 503 receiving yards, 52 rushing yards, and two touchdowns through four games. Extrapolated over a 17-game season, he'd be on pace for 2,138 receiving yards, which would shatter the existing single-season record. There's still a long way to go before seriously discussing whether Nacua will hit that milestone, but there's no question that he is turning heads and cementing himself as one of the NFL's brightest stars. He should be viewed as a high-end WR1 heading into Thursday Night Football against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 5.

Ricky Pearsall Feels Pain and Instability in Knee Before Exiting
Ricky Pearsall (knee) said that he exited in the third quarter of Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars due to pain and instability in his knee, according to David Lombardi of The Athletic. The second-year receiver entered this week with a knee issue, so it's possible that he re-aggravated that injury on Sunday afternoon. The 25-year-old didn't return to the contest after departing, finishing Week 4 with four catches for 46 yards. Fantasy managers should pay close attention to his status heading into a short week, as the 49ers take on the Los Angeles Rams this Thursday. Kendrick Bourne would likely operate as the No. 2 receiver behind Jauan Jennings if Pearsall is forced to miss time.

Ashton Jeanty Explodes for Three Touchdowns in Loss
Ashton Jeanty rushed for 138 yards and one touchdown on 21 carries during Sunday's Week 4 loss to the Chicago Bears. He also caught two passes for 17 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns. The rookie set several career-bests in his fourth NFL game, including most carries, most rushing yards, most yards per carry, most receiving yards, and most touchdowns. After three relatively underwhelming weeks, it was exciting to see things finally click for Jeanty, who was regarded as one of the top running back prospects of this decade. He'll rank as an RB2 with RB1 upside heading into Week 5 against the Indianapolis Colts.

Matthew Stafford Closes Out Victory as QB Leader in Week 4
Matthew Stafford completed 29 of 41 pass attempts for 375 yards, three touchdowns, and zero interceptions during Sunday's Week 4 win over the Indianapolis Colts. Heading into the Sunday night window with just three games left to be played, he leads all quarterbacks this week in passing yards and fantasy points. The big game was enough to remind fantasy managers that he's a viable option for your starting lineups despite his lack of rushing upside. He picked apart a Colts defense that had been very good entering Week 4, and he should continue to find success heading into a divisional battle against the San Francisco 49ers, who recently lost Nick Bosa (knee) for the year. Stafford is a fringe top-12 fantasy quarterback going forward.

Drake Maye Flashy in Week 4 Win Over Tough Opponent
Drake Maye completed 14 of 17 pass attempts for 203 yards, two touchdowns, and zero interceptions during Sunday's Week 4 blowout win over the Carolina Panthers. He also rushed for 11 yards and another touchdown on the ground. The 23-year-old has quietly produced one of the strongest starts to the season among all NFL quarterbacks, racking up nine touchdowns, 98 rushing yards, and just two interceptions. He ranks as the overall QB4 in fantasy points through four weeks, trailing only Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, and Patrick Mahomes II. That's an elite class of quarterbacks, so Maye's presence among such a talented group is a testament to the strong four weeks he's had. He has entered must-start territory as a mid-range QB1 entering next week's game against the Buffalo Bills.

Tyler Goodson Injures Groin in Loss to Rams
Tyler Goodson (groin) exited Sunday's Week 4 contest against the Los Angeles Rams and was unable to return. He finished the game with just one touch -- a zero-yard reception -- and did not have any returns on special teams. Firmly entrenched as the No. 3 running back in Indianapolis, Goodson has no fantasy appeal as long as Jonathan Taylor is healthy. If he misses any time, Ameer Abdullah would likely step up as the No. 3 running back behind Taylor and D.J. Giddens.
