Clayton Kershaw Not Available for Wild-Card Series
Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Clayton Kershaw will not be available for the wild card series, reports David Vassegh of SportsNet LA. However, he would be available for the later series if the Dodgers advance. This makes sense, as Kershaw pitched on Sunday to close out the regular season, striking out seven over 5 1/3 shutout innings against the Mariners in what will be the last regular-season start of his 18-year career. There simply isn't enough room to fit him into their rotation plans for a three-game series, as Los Angeles is stacked with Blake Snell, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Shohei Ohtani, and Tyler Glasnow.
