Brock Purdy Week-to-Week After Suffering Setback With Toe Injury
Brock Purdy (toe) suffered a setback with his turf-toe injury in the Week 4 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday and is now considered week-to-week, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Purdy was ruled out for the Thursday night divisional clash against the Los Angeles Rams to start Week 5, and he could miss additional games beyond Thursday night. The 25-year-old suffered turf toe in the regular-season opener, which caused him to miss Weeks 2 and 3. He threw for over 300 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions in his return against Jacksonville, but now he's injured again and could miss more than one game. Backup Mac Jones will make his third start of the year on Thursday night in a bad matchup against L.A. without the team's top two wideouts in Jauan Jennings (ankle, ribs) and Ricky Pearsall (knee).
