New York Islanders left wing Anders Lee (upper body) is expected to join the lineup for Thursday's preseason finale against the Philadelphia Flyers, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports. The Islanders captain was ruled out for 1-2 weeks with an upper-body injury on Sept. 24 and has progressed well enough that the team is ready to give him some action before the regular season begins. Lee has a significant role to play in the Islanders' success and will be looking to earn a new contract for next season. He will complete a seven-year, $49 million deal with the upcoming campaign.--Taavi Pailk
