Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro (foot) underwent a foot/ankle surgery recently that addressed an impingement he first noticed in July. After treatment and injections weren't making the pain go away, surgery was deemed necessary so that he could jump and move without pain. During media day, Herro gave an update and said that he will likely miss 8-to-12 weeks, but he told head coach Erik Spoelstra that he would be back in six weeks. If he misses the maximum amount of time in that timetable, that would mean he returns around the end of December. In the meantime, the Heat will likely roll out some different lineup combinations with Norman Powell, Terry Rozier, Davion Mitchell, Jaime Jaquez Jr., and Andrew Wiggins.--Alex Fischbein - RotoBaller

After a stellar Week 3 performance where the Carolina Panthers DST pitched a 30-0 shutout against the Atlanta Falcons while forcing three takeaways, the unit came crashing back to earth, getting routed 42-13 by the New England Patriots. The Patriots had a field day against the Carolina's DST, scoring two touchdowns through the air, three on the ground, and one on a 87-yard punt return from Marcus Jones. The Panthers DST can officially be abandoned in all fantasy formats until they demonstrate some form of consistency. However, they are a potential streamer in deep leagues with a plus matchup against the Miami Dolphins in Week 5.--Jp Sticco

NFL Insider Jordan Schultz reports on Monday that tests confirmed New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers (knee) has torn his ACL and will miss the remainder of the 2025 season. It's massively disappointing news for fantasy managers and the Giants, as Nabers will now attempt to work his way back before the start of 2026. The timing is unfortunate, considering rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart gave the team some juice in his NFL debut. With Nabers out, fellow wideouts Wan'Dale Robinson and Darius Slayton should benefit the most production-wise, and Jalin Hyatt will operate as the Giants' third WR. Slayton has been out there for the most snaps amongst his position, and figures to continue working as the deep threat, making him a moderately more interesting addition in the wake of his teammate's injury.--Alex Ciulla

Carolina Panthers running back Rico Dowdle maintained a decent workload in Week 4, registering nine carries for 32 yards and securing one pass for -2 receiving yards in Sunday's 42-13 loss to the New England Patriots. With Chuba Hubbard (calf) carrying a 'limited' designation all week in practice, Dowdle nearly matched his rushing attempts on Sunday (Hubbard had 10 carries), though Hubbard averaged 1.5 yards more per rush. However, a notable development to monitor was the increased involvement of rookie Trevor Etienne, who carried the ball seven times for 33 yards. Ultimately, Dowdle's and Etienne's involvement is likely a direct result of the Panthers limiting Hubbard's usage due to his calf injury and the Panthers being down by a big margin. However, the backfield situation must be monitored closely as the Panthers prepare for a Week 5 clash against the Miami Dolphins.--Jp Sticco

Carolina Panthers tight end Tommy Tremble delivered a productive outing in Sunday's 42-13 loss against the New England Patriots. Stepping in for the injured Ja'Tavion Sanders (ankle), Tremble tied Tetairoa McMillan with team-leading eight targets. The 25-year-old caught five passes for 42 yards in Sunday's defeat. On a day where Bryce Young struggled (18-of-30 for 150 yards), Tremble was a rare silver lining. With Sanders' week-to-week a high-ankle sprain, Tremble could be slated for another start in Week 5 against the Miami Dolphins and represents a solid, plug-and-play streaming option in a shallow tight end landscape for fantasy managers in deep leagues.--Jp Sticco

New Orleans Saints running back Kendre Miller rushed for 65 yards on 11 carries and scored a touchdown in Sunday's 31- 19 loss to the Buffalo Bills. He failed to command a target in the passing game. Alvin Kamara predictably led this backfield in touches. Still, for the second straight game, Miller garnered a larger snap share, and he's looked much better off this season when given the opportunity. Kamara played an absurdly high rate of snaps in Weeks 1 and 2, but his rushing volume has tapered off since, while Miller is on the field for roughly a third of the team's snaps. It's a little too early to trust the TCU product to provide standalone value. However, if he continues stealing work from Kamara, this could become more of a 1A/1B situation than we anticipated. Miller will have a good chance to set career highs in rushing yards and touchdowns in Week 5 when New Orleans hosts the New York Giants at home.--Alex Ciulla

Carolina Panthers running back Chuba Hubbard's (calf) usage was limited to just 10 rushes for 49 yards in Sunday's 42-13 loss to the New England Patriots. However, he mitigated the fantasy impact by securing all three targets for 20 receiving yards. The more concerning development, however, was the unexpected workload split: Rico Dowdle registered nine carries for 32 yards, while rookie Trevor Etienne posted seven carries for 33 yards. This increase in involvement for both Dowdle and Etienne is hopefully the result of the Panthers limiting Hubbard out of precaution, given he was limited in practice all week with a calf injury. This backfield distribution and Hubbard's health will be a critical storyline to monitor as the Panthers host the Miami Dolphins in Week 5.--Jp Sticco

Dallas Cowboys running back Miles Sanders (ankle) suffered an ankle injury during the first half of his team's Week 4 matchup with the Green Bay Packers and was unable to return to the game. Sanders recorded 25 yards from scrimmage on four total touches before getting hurt, and has now totaled 147 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown on 28 total touches so far in 2025. The severity of Sanders' ankle injury is not yet clear. If he misses time, Cowboys rookie running back Jaydon Blue would likely step in as the team's RB2 behind veteran back Javonte Williams. Blue has been inactive for all four of Dallas' games to this point in the season. Still, he could be worth adding in deep fantasy leagues heading into a Week 5 matchup against the New York Jets, pending the health status of Sanders.--Will Brady

After missing practice on Wednesday and logging two "limited" sessions on Thursday and Friday, Carolina Panthers rookie wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan (calf) played through a calf injury, hauling in just four of eight targets in Sunday's 42-13 loss to the New England Patriots. He did, however, maximize his opportunities, averaging 15.5 yards per reception for a team-high 62 yards in the Panthers' Week 4 loss to the Patriots. Shadowed for much of the afternoon by Patriots All-Pro Christian Gonzalez, who returned from injury, the connection with Bryce Young was productive but inconsistent. Despite the Panthers' struggles offensively in 2025, McMillan continues to play a pivotal role, leading the team in season-long receiving yards and targets. The Panthers' offense should have an easier time putting points on the board in Week 5 against a struggling Miami defense, which bodes well for McMillan's outlook.--Jp Sticco

Minnesota Vikings running back Zavier Scott saw heavy usage in the pass game in Week 4 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, recording six catches for 43 yards and a touchdown on eight targets. With veteran running back Aaron Jones Sr. (hamstring) on Injured Reserve through at least Week 7 due to a hamstring injury, Scott appears to be Minnesota's passing-down back next to early-down workhorse Jordan Mason. In the two games since Jones Sr. got injured, Scott has recorded 10 carries for 31 yards and seven catches for 63 yards and a score. The 26-year-old's usage will probably be game-script dependent, as he benefited from Minnesota playing from behind for most of Week 4. Scott is worth adding in deep fantasy leagues of 14 or more teams.--Will Brady

Houston Texans rookie running back Woody Marks had a breakout game in Week 4 against the Tennessee Titans, recording 119 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns on 21 total touches. The 24-year-old now has 209 yards from scrimmage and two scores on 35 total touches through the first four games of his NFL career. Marks earned more carries and more catches than veteran Texans back Nick Chubb in Week 4. The 29-year-old Chubb is averaging just four yards per rush attempt so far this season for a struggling Houston offense, so Marks could emerge as the team's lead back if he continues to produce. Additionally, Texans running back Joe Mixon (foot/ankle) is on the Non-Football Injury list and remains without a clear return timeline. Marks is the number one priority waiver-wire addition for fantasy managers heading into Week 5 and should be rostered in all league formats.--Will Brady

Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young and the Panthers' offense were stifled in Sunday's 42-13 loss against the New England Patriots. Young was limited to just 150 yards on 18-of-30 passes and one touchdown while rushing for three yards on one attempt in Sunday's blowout loss. After opening the game with a methodical 76-yard touchdown drive capped by a score to Tommy Tremble, the Panthers were unable to sustain drives, leading directly to 42 unanswered points by New England. The return of All-Pro cornerback Christian Gonzalez proved pivotal for a Patriots unit that had been vulnerable against the pass through the first three weeks. The former No. 1 overall pick was eventually benched late in favor of veteran QB Andy Dalton. Young and the Panthers will now look for a desperately needed turnaround next week against a struggling Miami Dolphins defense, which currently ranks 27th in the league in total yards allowed.--Jp Sticco

New York Giants wide receiver Darius Slayton recorded three catches for 44 yards on four targets in his team's 21-18 Week 4 win over the Los Angeles Chargers. Slayton has just nine catches for 135 yards on 12 targets so far in 2025, but he's likely to see a major uptick in target volume with star Giants wideout Malik Nabers (knee) likely out for the remainder of the season with what could be a torn ACL. In the two games Nabers missed in 2024, Slayton recorded 14 catches for 179 yards and a touchdown on 22 targets. Giants wide receiver Wan'Dale Robinson should also see more work in the passing game, but Slayton is the more explosive downfield threat. Slayton should be added in all fantasy leagues with 12 or more teams ahead of a favorable Week 5 matchup against the New Orleans Saints.--Will Brady

Washington Commanders running back Chris Rodriguez Jr. recorded seven carries for 59 yards in his team's 34-27 Week 4 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. Rodriguez Jr. has now recorded 18 carries for 98 yards in the two games since Washington lost veteran back Austin Ekeler (Achilles) to a torn Achilles tendon. The Commanders' backfield appears to be a three-way split between Rodriguez Jr., Jacory Croskey-Merritt, and Jeremy McNichols. All three backs have limited fantasy appeal while they are splitting touches. Still, Rodriguez Jr. should be rostered in all leagues of 12 or more teams, as he has a chance to eventually emerge as the clear early-down workhorse in Washington.--Will Brady

Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said, "That's not our focus," when asked about quarterback Joe Flacco's performance following the team's Week 4 loss to the Detroit Lions, per Myles Simmons of Pro Football Talk. Flacco struggled against Detroit, completing 16 of 34 pass attempts for 184 yards, zero touchdowns, and two interceptions. The 40-year-old has now thrown for 815 yards, two touchdowns, and six picks through his first four games of 2025. Rookie quarterback Dillon Gabriel came in for Flacco in garbage time on Sunday, but attempted just one pass (an incompletion). It appears Stefanski and the Browns are not yet interested in making the switch to Gabriel or fellow rookie signal-caller, Shedeur Sanders. Flacco should remain off of fantasy radars, even in two-quarterback formats.--Will Brady

Former light heavyweight title challenger Dominick Reyes suffered a first-round knockout loss to Carlos Ulberg in the main event of UFC Perth on Saturday. Reyes looked very tentative, and it seemed like he was waiting for a perfect opportunity to attack Ulberg, but instead, he was getting hit with jabs and straight punches. With less than a minute left in the opening frame, Ulberg landed a thunderous two-punch combo that knocked Reyes out. In 4:27 of action, Reyes landed five significant strikes. It's safe to say that after getting knocked out, Reyes' title dreams are over. With the loss, Reyes dropped to 15-5 as a pro and is now 9-5 in the UFC.--Alen Kurbasic

According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Darnell Mooney (hamstring) suffered a hamstring injury Sunday in Atlanta's win. Still, with the bye coming up, he likely doesn't have to miss any games, sources say. Mooney exited Sunday's contest in the third quarter and had just one catch (on one target) for 15 yards. The Falcons have a bye week approaching in Week 5, which allows for an extra week of recovery for Mooney as the Falcons prepare to host the Buffalo Bills in Week 6. If Mooney were to miss any time, Ray-Ray McCloud, Casey Washington, David Sills, and Jamal Agnew would likely step up in Mooney's absence, although none of them should be on fantasy managers' radar at this point. Thus far this season, Mooney has disappointed a bit, with only 79 receiving yards and seven receptions in three games played.--Nicho Roessler

Carlos Ulberg extended his win streak to nine when he defeated former light heavyweight title contender Dominick Reyes via first-round knockout in the main event of UFC Perth on Saturday. Ulberg came out aggressively, landing stiff jabs and straight punches while Reyes remained tentative. Ulberg then seized his opportunity with less than a minute remaining in the opening round, landing a devastating right hook that knocked Reyes out. In 4:27 of action, Ulberg landed 11 significant strikes. After the fight, Ulberg confirmed his attendance for next Saturday's UFC 320 title fight rematch in Las Vegas between Magomed Ankalaev and Alex Pereira.--Alen Kurbasic

Washington Commanders wide receiver Luke McCaffrey caught two of his three targets for 21 yards and a touchdown while adding six kick returns for 199 yards in the Washington Commanders' 34-27 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. Luke McCaffrey's five-yard touchdown catch in the second quarter gave him his second straight game with a score. He was also excellent on special teams, helping the Commanders get good field position with his 199 return yards. Although his involvement with the offense is somewhat limited based on opportunities, he is making enough splash plays when given the chance to continue to be on the radar for the waiver wire in deeper leagues, especially while Terry McLaurin (quad) is out. Up next for the Commanders in Week 5 is a date with the Los Angeles Chargers, who just lost to the New York Giants in Week 4.--Nicho Roessler

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Jalen Tolbert was third on the team in targets on Sunday night against the Green Bay Packers with 6, behind Jake Ferguson (seven) and George Pickens (11). The increase in volume is due to CeeDee Lamb (ankle), who was sidelined. Most of Tolbert's yardage came on a 34-yard pass from Dak Prescott in overtime, which proved to be a massive play in helping the Cowboys take a three-point lead in overtime. The catch was phenomenal, as it had a completion probability of 7.2 percent, the second-most improbable completion in the NGS era, according to Next Gen Stats. All that aside, with Lamb likely missing another few weeks, Tolbert should continue to be in line for more opportunities for targets in Week 5 against the New York Jets, giving him WR3 value heading into Week and a decent waiver wire grab in deeper leagues.--Nicho Roessler

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs had himself a career night in Week 4 against the Dallas Cowboys. For the first time in his career, he scored three times, all from inside the red zone, in the Packers' 40-40 tie against the Dallas Cowboys. In addition to the three scores, he saw a team-high eight targets and hauled in six of them for 58 yards. All three of his touchdowns came from inside the red zone, 15, one, and two yards out. While it was a career night for Doubs, the combination of target competition and Green Bay's preference to run a balanced offense makes him an unreliable fantasy option every week. However, if available, Doubs should certainly be picked up as bye weeks are beginning in Week 5, and fantasy managers will have to find themselves inserting bench players or players off the waiver wire to fill in the gaps. In Week 5, the Packers have a bye before hosting the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 6.--Nicho Roessler

Ivan Erslan suffered a first-round submission loss to Jimmy Crute in the co-main event of UFC Perth on Saturday. Erslan landed a few good punches in the first round, but Crute wasted no time and took Erslan down. It looked like Crute was aiming to submit Erslan with a rear-naked choke, but Crute landed a modified neck crank, forcing Erslan to submit. In 3:19 of action, Erslan landed 10 significant strikes. This just might have been Erslan's last fight in the UFC. With the loss, Erslan remains winless in the UFC, going 0-3.--Alen Kurbasic

Jimmy Crute won back-to-back fights by defeating Ivan Erslan via first-round submission in the co-main event of UFC Perth. After some brief striking exchanges, Crute took Erslan down to the mat and took his back. Crute quickly advanced his position to look for the rear-naked choke, but instead of sinking a rear-naked choke, Crute did a modified neck crank, forcing Erslan to tap out. In 3:19 of action, Crute landed two takedowns and 12 significant strikes. With the win, Crute improved to 14-4-2 as a pro and is now 6-4-2 in the UFC.--Alen Kurbasic

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Kenneth Gainwell was inserted into the No. 1 running back role when Jaylen Warren (knee) was a late scratch from Sunday's contest against the Minnesota Vikings in Dublin. Gainwell tallied 99 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries in the Steelers' 24-21 win over the Vikings. He also caught all six of his targets for 35 yards and scored from one and four yards out. Gainwell has solidified himself as the team's clear-cut number two back, and will be a hot waiver-wire pickup this week if he wasn't already rostered. With the Steelers heading into their Week 5 bye week, Warren may likely recover and return in Week 6 as the primary back for the Steelers; however, based on the way that Gainwell played on Sunday, it's likely he gets more involved down the stretch.--Nicho Roessler

Ramon Taveras suffered a unanimous decision loss to Jack Jenkins on the main card of UFC Perth on Saturday. Taveras, a Dana White's Contender Series alum, had missed weight for the bout by a pound. The 31-year-old Tavares had his moments, but ultimately, Jenkins outpointed him and controlled him en route to a unanimous decision victory. In 15 minutes of action, Taveras landed 43 significant strikes. With the loss, Taveras has dropped to 10-4 as a pro and is now 1-2 in the UFC.--Alen Kurbasic

Jack Jenkins got back in the win column by defeating Ramon Taveras via unanimous decision on the main card of UFC Perth on Saturday. Jenkins was one step ahead of Taveras as he controlled this fight with his striking, particularly with body and leg kicks, his wrestling and clinchwork. In 15 minutes of action, Jenkins landed three takedowns and 65 significant strikes. With the win, Jenkins improved his record inside the Octagon to 4-2 and moved to 14-4 overall in his mixed martial arts career. --Alen Kurbasic

Jake Matthews suffered a third-round submission loss to Neil Magny on the main card of UFC Perth on Saturday. There was plenty of controversy during this bout. A second before the end of the first round, it appeared that Matthews had put Magny to sleep with a guillotine choke, so the referee stopped the fight. Magny protested the stoppage, and soon after, the referee gave the signal to continue the fight. After dominating Magny for nearly three rounds, Magny sank in a D'Arce choke from half guard, submitting Matthews. In 13:08 of action, Matthews landed 18 significant strikes. --Alen Kurbasic

Neil Magny won his second consecutive fight by beating Jake Matthews via third-round submission on the main card of UFC Perth on Saturday. This fight was, to say the least, unusual. Magny got caught in a guillotine choke near the end of the first round, and a second before the round ended, the referee stepped in. Magny protested the stoppage, and the referee, strangely enough, said the fight was still on. After being controlled for most of the fight, Magny sank in the brabo choke with two minutes left, earning the victory. In 13:08 of action, Magny landed three takedowns and 31 significant strikes. --Alen Kurbasic

Pittsburgh Penguins forward Noel Acciari (abdomen) practiced fully on Sunday but isn't expected to play in Monday's preseason matchup against the Detroit Red Wings, Seth Rorabaugh of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports. The 33-year-old has been troubled by an abdominal injury throughout the preseason and is considered day-to-day. Following Monday night, Acciari will have two more opportunities to log some preseason action before the real stuff begins next week. Acciari has a limited role in the Penguins offense but adds a lot of physicality to the lineup. He ranked first on the team with 180 hits last season, while notching 12 points (five goals, seven assists) across 79 appearances.--Taavi Pailk

Edmonton Oilers left wing Vasily Podkolzin (personal) is expected to rejoin the team this week. Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch told reporters on Sunday that Podkolzin will be back in Edmonton on Tuesday night. Last week, Podkolzin took a leave of absence after his father passed away. Knoblauch expects Podkolzin to play in the Oilers' final preseason game on Friday against the Vancouver Canucks. Podkolzin recently landed a three-year, $8.85 million contract extension with the team and is expected to start the season as a top-six forward.--Taavi Pailk
