New York Giants rookie running back Cam Skattebo (undisclosed) has not seen action during team drills over the last few days of practice, according to beat reporter Evan Barnes. When asked about it multiple times, head coach Brian Daboll offered little more than "We're managing him." Skattebo was one of fantasy football's most polarizing prospects heading into the 2025 draft, and he lasted longer than some expected, with the Giants eventually taking him near the top of the fourth round. He entered camp in a positional battle with last year's fifth-round pick Tyrone Tracy Jr., and reports have indicated that he has flashed potential while running with both the ones and the twos. Any time missed will certainly hurt his chances of securing the lead role, but until further information emerges, he should be considered day-to-day.--Patrick McGrathSource: Evan Barnes

According to Robert Murray, outfielder Jakob Marsee is being called up by the Miami Marlins on Friday. The Marlins traded Jesus Sanchez on Thursday, which opened up a spot for Marsee on the big league roster. The 24-year-old was traded to Miami in the deal that sent Luis Arraez to the San Diego Padres. This season, Marsee is slashing .246/.379/.438 with 14 home runs, 37 RBI, and 47 steals in 98 games in Triple-A. He'll likely only be a platoon option, so his fantasy value figures to be limited right now.--Andy WebbSource: Robert Murray

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Calvin Ridley (calf) will sit out Friday's practice. According to head coach Ben Callahan, this is a scheduled maintenance day for Ridley. The 30-year-old exited Wednesday's practice early after experiencing cramps in his right calf and will get Friday off to rest. The buzz around Tennessee is that Ridley has had a strong start to camp and has been building a natural chemistry with No. 1 overall pick Cam Ward since the first practices of Spring. Ridley is the unquestioned alpha in the Titans' receiver room, and he led the league in unrealized air yards last season while catching passes from Will Levis. If he can continue to earn the trust of his young QB and the Titans' passing game finds any semblance of rhythm this year, Ridley represents sneaky good value in the middle rounds in upcoming fantasy drafts.--Patrick McGrathSource: Ben Arthur

Cincinnati Reds outfielder TJ Friedl was reinstated from the paternity leave list on Friday. He has been away from the team since Tuesday while his family welcomes a baby into the world. Friedl won't be playing on Friday as he'll now head to the restricted list. The expectation is that this is a procedural move, so they don't need to make any roster changes with an early game on Friday. The expectation is that Friedl will be back in the lineup on Saturday. Will Benson will cover center field and bat eighth in place of Friedl on Friday.--Andy WebbSource: Cincinnati Reds

Cincinnati Reds starting pitcher Wade Miley (forearm) has been transferred to the 60-day injured list on Thursday. This is a procedural move in order to free up a spot on the 40-man roster for Miguel Andujar. Miley has been sidelined since the middle of June due to a left flexor strain. The southpaw has been progressing through a throwing program, but isn't nearing a return. The shift to the 60-day injured list shouldn't impact too much considering Miley is still weeks away from returning.--Andy WebbSource: Cincinnati Reds

Los Angeles Rams safety Kam Curl (ankle) is week-to-week with an ankle injury after being stepped on during Tuesday's practice. As a precaution, he was carted off the field, but head coach Sean McVay says the team is "really fortunate" that the injury is not as serious as originally feared. With the Rams slated to play their first preseason game next Saturday against the Dallas Cowboys, it remains to be seen how much action McVay plans to give his starters before the regular season. However, it's safe to assume Curl will be held out of the game. When healthy, Curl should be viewed as nothing more than a deep flier in IDP leagues, as he saw his tackle numbers drop precipitously after moving from the Commanders to the Rams last season, and he once more projects to play away from the box.--Patrick McGrathSource: Sarah Barshop

Chicago Cubs catcher Miguel Amaya (oblique) has been transferred to the 60-day injured list on Thursday. This is just a procedural move to free up a spot on the 40-man roster for newly acquired Willi Castro. Amaya has been sidelined since late May due to an oblique issue. That being said, Amaya has already missed more than 60 days, so this move doesn't change his timetable. Amaya is already on a rehab assignment, so hopefully he'll be able to return in the coming weeks.--Andy WebbSource: Jared Wyllys

Through eight training camp practices, New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye has yet to throw an interception. The 22-year-old signal-caller has stated publicly that cutting down on turnovers is a top priority heading into his second season. After throwing 10 interceptions in what was essentially a 10-game rookie season, he's taken remarkable care of the ball through the early stages of camp without necessarily playing it safe. "I'm not scared to throw it. I'm still not gun-shy," Maye told reporters following Thursday's walkthrough practice. By most accounts, he has continued to target tight windows and make off-schedule throws while keeping the ball out of harm's way. If Maye can play mistake-free football throughout the regular season, a top-10 fantasy season is not out of the question with his rushing floor and the improved talent around him in both the wide receiver room and offensive line.--Patrick McGrathSource: Mike Kadlick

Pitcher Trent Thornton (leg) went down with a lower-leg injury in the ninth inning of Thursday's game and was carted off the field. He collapsed when coming off the mound, attempting to cover first base on a grounder to the right side, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports. It appears that Thornton is scheduled for an MRI on Friday to determine the severity of the injury, which will help the Mariners determine the timeline for Thornton's return to the mound. The incident appeared to be a freak accident, and the Mariners and Thornton are hoping for the best. Thornton owns a 4.68 ERA and a 1.30 WHIP in 42 ⅓ innings pitched this season. UPDATE: Thornton, who was on crutches in the clubhouse after the game, fears that he suffered a significant left-Achilles injury. He'll undergo an MRI exam on Friday to confirm.--Nicho RoesslerSource: Daniel Kramer

Boston Red Sox right-hander Tanner Houck (elbow) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Thursday to make room for newly acquired Dustin May on the 40-man roster. Houck is eligible to be activated from the injured list at any time, and he appeared close to a return before being shut down indefinitely on July 21 after experiencing a setback. At this time, there is no clear timeline for his return in what looks to be a lost season for Houck. Fantasy managers holding onto him still in redraft leagues are welcome to drop him. He owns an ugly 8.04 ERA, a 1.69 WHIP, and a 32/17 K/BB in 43 2/3 innings pitched. The 29-year-old will look to rebound next season and regain his form after a breakout season for him in 2024, where he owned a 3.12 ERA in 178 2/3 innings pitched for the Red-Sox.--Nicho RoesslerSource: Red Sox

Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell was not happy with his team's mistake-filled performance in Thursday's 34-7 Hall of Game loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. In a game they lost by 27 points, the Lions turned the ball over five times. Although none of Detroit's presumed starters were in uniform, Campbell did not use that as an excuse. "You're wearing Lions gear, you've got to take care of the ball, or it's going to be hard to keep you around," he told reporters after the first NFL game ever played in July. The Lions will next take the field against the Atlanta Falcons for their second of four preseason games. After finishing last season with a record of (15-2), they enter 2025 as favorites to win the NFC North for the third straight year and have lofty aspirations to make a deep playoff run.--Patrick McGrathSource: Around The NFL

Los Angeles Dodgers right-hander Roki Sasaki (shoulder) is scheduled to face hitters at the Dodgers' complex in Arizona this weekend, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports. The rookie right-hander has been throwing bullpens in July and has now appeared to progress to face live hitters. This will be the first time he has thrown to live hitters since he landed on the 60-day injured list back in May. Given the typical progression from an injury of this nature, Sasaki will still likely need to throw a handful of rehab outings before he's activated. Given the timing and nature of this injury, Sasaki would likely return around the time leagues begin their fantasy playoffs. This makes it challenging to trust him if he returns around that time, given he has only thrown 34 1/3 innings with the Dodgers this season and owns a subpar 4.72 ERA and 1.49 WHIP. Nonetheless, it's good to see that he is progressing from his injury for the long haul.--Nicho RoesslerSource: Fabian Ardaya

Chicago Bears tight end Cole Kmet spent Thursday's practice running with the ones, with the team in 11-on-11s. The Bears spent the 10th overall pick in the draft on Michigan tight end Colston Loveland (shoulder), who has drawn praise from coaches throughout the start of training camp. However, Kmet is still expected to have a role in Ben Johnson's new look offense, as evidenced by his current spot atop the depth chart. Loveland has been ramping his action up slowly after recovering from offseason surgery to his AC joint, so it's possible he could still claim the starting job by the start of the regular season. Either way, the Bears' offense is ripe with pass-catching options, and it may be difficult to predict where the action will go in any given week, making many of their pieces more appealing in best-ball drafts than lineup leagues..--Patrick McGrathSource: Gregg Braggs Jr.

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson Sr. has entered 2025 with a renewed mindset and a focus on details. Part of that approach has included cutting sweets from his diet, particularly Skittles. While cutting back on sugary treats alone isn't going to make or break his season, it's part of an offseason overhaul that he hopes can pay dividends. "I need to be more of a pro when it comes to my eating," he told reporters this week. A noticeably trimmed-down Richardson shared that he's lost 10 pounds on his new diet, and by all accounts, he has strung together some of the strongest practices of his young career. The former No. 4 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft entered training camp in a quarterback competition with veteran addition Daniel Jones. Still, if he can continue to show signs of improvement and finally capitalize on his raw talents, it will be difficult for anyone to take the job from him.--Patrick McGrathSource: Stephen Holder

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield (hand) will not practice on Friday due to a hand injury. Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network reported that the quarterback suffered a contusion on his throwing hand during Thursday's session. Mayfield has already undergone scans, but has appeared to have avoided significant injury. For now, fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day. As a result, the Buccaneers will likely manage his workload for the next few days to ensure he is fully healthy for the regular season. Last season, Mayfield enjoyed a career year as he threw for 4,500 yards and 16 passing scores. Even though his offensive coordinator, Liam Coen, is now in Jacksonville. Mayfield remains a solid QB1 in all leagues as the Buccaneers brought in former Ohio State standout Emeka Egbuka in the first round of the draft to further strengthen an elite WR room.--Andy SmithSource: Tom Pelissero

The Los Angeles Dodgers have acquired outfield prospect James Tibbs III and Zach Ehrhard from the Boston Red Sox in exchange for right-handed pitcher Dustin May. Despite only being drafted with the 13th overall pick in last year's MLB Draft, Tibbs has already been included in two trades this season. Earlier in the summer, Tibbs was one of the pieces that San Francisco sent to Boston in exchange for third baseman Rafael Devers. Now, Tibbs will move to his third MLB team. The Florida State product was ranked as the No. 5 prospect in the system before the trade. He opened the season with High-A but was moved to Double-A once acquired by Boston. Through 30 games with Double-A Portland, Tibbs has held a .207/.319/.267 line. Fantasy managers should expect Tibbs to remain with Double-A through the remainder of the second half.--Andy SmithSource: Boston Red Sox

The Baltimore Orioles have acquired first base/outfield prospect Victor Figueroa from the San Diego Padres in part of the package that sent Ramon Laureano and first baseman/outfielder Ryan O'Hearn to the San Diego Padres. Figueroa was selected in the 18th round of the 2024 MLB Draft by the Padres out of Florida Southwestern State College. Even though he had only spent his debut season in the lower levels, Figueroa has already begun to show some upside. He opened the season in the Arizona Complex League and posted a strong 1.922 OPS across 11 games. He was then promoted to Low-A, where he has carried a .262/.375/.456 line with 17 doubles and seven home runs across 53 games. Given his strong start, he could join High-A later in the second half.--Andy SmithSource: Jon Morosi

Los Angeles Chargers rookie wide receiver Keandre Lambert-Smith was the team's top pass-catcher in Thursday's 34-7 Hall of Fame Game victory against the Detroit Lions. The fifth-round pick out of Auburn led the team with 43 receiving yards on two catches and two targets, hauling in a beautiful 28-yard pass from quarterback Trey Lance and turning a crisp 15-yard slant into a touchdown just before halftime. Despite his impressive outing, Lambert-Smith is currently behind Harris in the wide receiver pecking order and is not considered fantasy relevant at this time. He will look to build on this performance in the Chargers' next preseason matchup against the Saints.--Don FanelliSource: NFL

The Arizona Diamondbacks are acquiring right-handed pitching prospect David Hagaman, and fellow pitching prospects Kohl Drake and Mitch Bratt from the Texas Rangers in exchange for starting pitcher Merrill Kelly. Hagaman was viewed as the No. 23-ranked prospect in the Texas system before the transaction. The Rangers selected the 22-year-old in the fourth round of last year's MLB Draft out of West Virginia. The right-hander made his professional debut earlier this season in the Arizona Complex League. Through seven innings of work, he allowed just one run with a perfect 12:0 K:BB. He was then bumped up to Low-A, where he tossed 15 1/3 innings to the tune of a 3.51 ERA and a 16:6 K:BB. Fantasy managers should expect Hagaman to remain with Low-A through most of the second half.--Andy SmithSource: Nick Piecoro

Los Angeles Chargers' rookie wide receiver Tre Harris had a quiet start to the preseason, with zero catches on just one target in Thursday's 34-7 win over the Detroit Lions. The big-bodied pass-catcher, who has been running with the starters throughout training camp, couldn't develop chemistry with third-string quarterback Trey Lance in his limited snaps. The 2025 second-round pick showed promise at Ole Miss last season, recording 1,030 yards and seven touchdowns in just eight games, and is poised to take on a larger role as a rookie, especially given the inconsistent play of former first-round pick Quentin Johnston. He's a late-round fantasy stash with potential upside as he gets more reps within the Chargers' system.--Don FanelliSource: NFL

The Texas Rangers have traded left-handed pitching prospect Kohl Drake, along with Mitch Bratt and David Hagaman, to the Arizona Diamondbacks in exchange for right-handed starter Merrill Kelly. Drake is considered the headliner piece in this trade. The 25-year-old was considered to be the No. 10-ranked prospect in the Texas system before the trade. Drake began the 2025 campaign with Double-A but needed only 55 1/3 innings to prove he was ready to join Triple-A Round Rock. With Double-A, Drake posted a strong 2.44 ERA with a stellar 0.98 WHIP. However, during his first 17 1/3 innings at the top level of the minor leagues, Drake has held a 5.19 ERA with a 1.50 WHIP. Fantasy managers should expect the 25-year-old to begin his tenure in Arizona with Triple-A Reno.--Andy SmithSource: Nick Piecoro

The Arizona Diamondbacks are acquiring left-handed pitching prospect Mitch Bratt, along with Kohl Drake and David Hagaman, from the Texas Rangers in exchange for right-hander Merrill Kelly. Bratt has spent his entire 2025 campaign pitching for Double-A Frisco. Through 90 2/3 innings of work (spent primarily on the rotation), Bratt has held a 3.18 ERA with a 1.18 WHIP. During this stretch, left-handed struck out 106 batters and allowed only 16 free passes. This is an excellent sign for the former fifth-round pick, as he held a much higher 5.45 ERA and a 1.39 WHIP during his first taste of Double-A during the 2024 campaign. Before the trade, Bratt was ranked as the No. 18-overall prospect in the system. Fantasy managers should expect Bratt to begin his tenure in the desert at the Double-A level.--Andy SmithSource: Nick Piecoro

The Minnesota Twins are acquiring left-handed pitching prospect Kendry Rojas from the Toronto Blue Jays in exchange for Louis Varland and Ty France. In this return, the Twins are also receiving outfielder Alan Roden. The 22-year-old southpaw was considered the No. 8-ranked prospect in the Toronto system before the trade on MLB.com. Rojas has spent the 2025 campaign pitching for numerous levels of the Toronto system. He has logged 18 innings split between the FCL and Low-A and posted an elite 1.00 ERA and a 0.83 WHIP over this stretch. Through 18 2/3 innings with Double-A, Rojas posted a 3.86 ERA with a strong 30:2 K:BB. He was then bumped up to Triple-A, where he has allowed six runs across five innings of work. Fantasy managers should expect Rojas to report to Triple-A St. Paul.--Andy SmithSource: Mitch Bannon

Prior to his win over Orolbai, Rebecki suffered his first UFC loss to Diego Ferreira by being finished in the third round of their contest. Since signing with the UFC, Rebecki has gone 4-1. Chris Duncan will look to extend his win streak when he takes on Mateusz Rebecki in the co-main event of UFC Vegas 108 on Saturday. Duncan is 4-1 since joining the UFC roster in 2023. He joined the promotion after beating Charlie Campbell via first-round TKO on Dana White's Contender Series. He has won back-to-back fights and was last seen in action at UFC London, where he defeated Jordan Vucenic via second-round submission. Since signing with the UFC, Duncan has only lost once, and that was to Manuel Torres in 2024 via first-round submission. DraftKings sees Duncan as the underdog with a salary of $7,200.--Alen KurbasicSource: UFC
