Kohl Drake Traded to the Diamondbacks
Mitch Bratt and David Hagaman, to the Arizona Diamondbacks in exchange for right-handed starter Merrill Kelly. Drake is considered the headliner piece in this trade. The 25-year-old was considered to be the No. 10-ranked prospect in the Texas system before the trade. Drake began the 2025 campaign with Double-A but needed only 55 1/3 innings to prove he was ready to join Triple-A Round Rock. With Double-A, Drake posted a strong 2.44 ERA with a stellar 0.98 WHIP. However, during his first 17 1/3 innings at the top level of the minor leagues, Drake has held a 5.19 ERA with a 1.50 WHIP. Fantasy managers should expect the 25-year-old to begin his tenure in Arizona with Triple-A Reno.
