Willi Castro Joining Cubs
Willi Castro from the Minnesota Twins for prospects, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports. The switch-hitting Castro is capable of lining up all over the diamond, including third base, where Matt Shaw has provided below-average production. Castro, on the other hand, is enjoying his third straight respectable offensive season. The 28-year-old has hit .245/.335/.407 with 10 homers, 27 RBI, 48 runs scored, and nine stolen bases in 344 trips to the plate in 2025. The soon-to-be free agent could now benefit by joining one of the best offenses in baseball.
