Evan Carter Placed on 10-Day Injured List
Evan Carter (back) on the 10-day injured list with back spasms and recalled fellow outfielder Alejandro Osuna from Triple-A Round Rock. Carter is heading to the IL for the second time this year after previously sitting out the end of May with a quad strain. The 22-year-old has dealt with a laundry list of injuries in his career, including a lumbar sprain last season, and his health issues have prevented him from realizing his potential. Carter has appeared in just 55 games this season and hit .238/.323/.381 with four homers, 21 RBI, 27 runs, and 12 steals over 189 plate appearances. Wyatt Langford is starting in center in Carter's place on Saturday against Seattle Mariners right-hander Luis Castillo. Osuna is playing left field, and Adolis Garcia is in right.
