Robert Whittaker Loses Back-To-Back Fights
Former middleweight champion Robert Whittaker dropped a split decision to former two-division ONE champion Reinier de Ridder in the main event of UFC Abu Dhabi on Saturday. Despite a strong opening round and then Whittaker dropping and nearly finishing de Ridder on the ground in the third round, in the end, the judges awarded de Ridder a split-decision victory. In 25 minutes of action, Whittaker landed a knockdown and 66 significant strikes. This is the first time in Whittaker's career that he's lost back-to-back fights.
