Conor McGregor Enters UFC Testing Pool
According to the UFC's Anti-Doping official website, Conor McGregor recently completed a testing session, signaling a potential return to the Octagon in 2026. Fighters must be in the UFC's testing pool for at least six months and pass two drug tests before being cleared to fight. While the news of the biggest star in the company's history eyeing a return is a significant development, McGregor has teased comebacks several times since suffering a broken tibia against Dustin Poirier in July 2021. The Notorious was scheduled to square off with Michael Chandler at UFC 303 in July of 2024, but McGregor pulled out for what the company cited as a broken toe. There's a long way to go before fight fans can get excited about his long-awaited comeback, but it appears the Irishman has completed the first step. He could be targeting the rumored Fourth of July fight card on the White House lawn for his return to action.
