Washington Capitals forward Justin Sourdif ended a six-game point drought in style on Monday against the Calgary Flames, recording a goal and two assists in a 7-3 victory. He was elevated to the top line for the game and became only the third Capitals rookie in the past 40 years with multiple three-point games in a season. Despite experiencing an offensive slump in recent weeks, Sourdif is averaging close to 0.5 points per game and holds an impressive plus-15 rating through 61 appearances. He has contributed 13 goals and 16 assists, collecting 25 of his 29 points during even-strength play. Sourdif's offensive production could see major improvement if he partners with Alex Ovechkin for an extended period.--Taavi Pailk
