James Tibbs III Traded to Los Angeles
James Tibbs III and Zach Ehrhard from the Boston Red Sox in exchange for right-handed pitcher Dustin May. Despite only being drafted with the 13th overall pick in last year's MLB Draft, Tibbs has already been included in two trades this season. Earlier in the summer, Tibbs was one of the pieces that San Francisco sent to Boston in exchange for third baseman Rafael Devers. Now, Tibbs will move to his third MLB team. The Florida State product was ranked as the No. 5 prospect in the system before the trade. He opened the season with High-A but was moved to Double-A once acquired by Boston. Through 30 games with Double-A Portland, Tibbs has held a .207/.319/.267 line. Fantasy managers should expect Tibbs to remain with Double-A through the remainder of the second half.
