Victor Figueroa Traded to Baltimore
Ramon Laureano and first baseman/outfielder Ryan O'Hearn to the San Diego Padres. Figueroa was selected in the 18th round of the 2024 MLB Draft by the Padres out of Florida Southwestern State College. Even though he had only spent his debut season in the lower levels, Figueroa has already begun to show some upside. He opened the season in the Arizona Complex League and posted a strong 1.922 OPS across 11 games. He was then promoted to Low-A, where he has carried a .262/.375/.456 line with 17 doubles and seven home runs across 53 games. Given his strong start, he could join High-A later in the second half.
