Mets Acquiring Cedric Mullins
Cedric Mullins from the Baltimore Orioles, according to Anthony DiComo of MLB.com. In return, the Orioles will receive minor-league right-handers Raimon Gomez, Anthony Nunez, and Chandler Marsh. The Mets were known to be in the market for an established center fielder leading up to the deadline, and they're getting one in Mullins. The 30-year-old has started 88 games at the position this season and hit .229/.305/.433 with 15 homers, 49 RBI, 42 runs scored, and 14 stolen bases in 355 plate appearances. Mullins struggled through May and June, but he got back on track this month. He ended July .290/.346/.522 with three HRs, 10 RBI, nine runs, and six steals in 22 games.
