Astros Acquire Carlos Correa From the Twins
Carlos Correa (head) from the Minnesota Twins on Thursday, a source tells MLB.com's Brian McTaggart. Correa left Tuesday's game due to lightheadedness and was held out of Wednesday's contest, but it's not believed to be a serious injury and he should play for the Astros this weekend. The Astros also acquired veteran infielder Ramon Urias from the Orioles on Wednesday with Isaac Paredes (hamstring) potentially missing the rest of the season. Now with Correa back in town -- he was with Houston from 2015-21 -- Correa figures to be the favorite to start at third base if Paredes isn't able to return. Shortstop Jeremy Pena (rib) is on the IL but is expected to return on Friday. Correa can also fill in at DH. Fantasy managers will be hoping Correa turns it around in a familiar environment, as he's hitting .267 with only seven homers and 31 RBI in 93 games in 2025.
