Denny Hamlin an Easy DFS Target After Wreck in Qualifying
Denny Hamlin easily had one of, if not the best cars in the field at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Saturday...until he didn't. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver was the fastest in practice and looked great on the stopwatch, and then looked as though he was going to easily win the pole in qualifying until the No. 11 Toyota got loose off of turn two and Hamlin went head-on into the inside wall, destroying the race car. The team will have to bring the backup car to the track on Sunday and Hamlin will start dead last (in 39th-place). As far as DFS goes, this makes Hamlin one of the most obvious choices on the slate. If he didn't wreck in qualifying, we'd be talking about him dominating this race on Sunday. Now he has sky-high Place Differential upside in DFS contests. Don't overthink this one. Denny Hamlin is the safest pick on DraftKings this weekend and you should have plenty of him.
