Los Angeles Dodgers reliever Blake Treinen (forearm) has been activated from the 60-day injured list. Treinen has been out since mid-April due to a forearm sprain, but he recently completed a lengthy rehab stint that saw him make seven appearances across the Arizona Complex League and Triple-A. With Tanner Scott (elbow) on the injured list, Treinen could be the lead candidate for saves in the Dodgers' bullpen. In 46 2/3 innings for Los Angeles last season, Treinen earned just one save but went 7-3 with a 1.93 ERA, 0.94 WHIP, and 56 strikeouts. However, he had three saves for the Dodgers in the 2024 postseason and has 82 saves for his career.--Will BradySource: Los Angeles Dodgers

The Kansas City Royals are "showing little interest" in trading starting pitcher Seth Lugo, according to Bob Nightengale of USA Today. Kansas City is 51-54 and 4 1/2 games back of a playoff spot in the American League, so they could look to sell off some veteran pieces at the trade deadline. The 35-year-old Lugo has a $15 million player option for the 2026 season, so he could become a free agent at season's end. The veteran right-hander is in the midst of another excellent season. In 113 innings (19 starts), Lugo is 7-5 with a 2.95 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, and 99 strikeouts. His 4.56 xERA suggests some regression is likely, but Lugo has outpitched his peripherals in each of the last three seasons.--Will BradySource: USA Today - Bob Nightengale

New York Yankees first baseman Paul Goldschmidt is not in the starting lineup for his team's game against the Philadelphia Phillies on Sunday. The right-handed Goldschmidt has fallen into a timeshare at first base with lefty swinger Ben Rice, who is getting the start against Phillies righty Zack Wheeler. In 390 plate appearances this season, Goldschmidt is hitting .287/.345/.425 with eight home runs, 37 RBI, 58 runs scored, and five stolen bases. A significant portion of his damage has been against left-handed pitching, as he's hit .394 with five home runs in 114 plate appearances against lefties compared to .246 with three home runs in 276 plate appearances versus right-handers. The 37-year-old Goldschmidt is still a productive hitter overall, but he can no longer be counted on for power. His .138 ISO is the worst of his career, and his 7.9% barrel rate is his worst since 2016.--Will BradySource: MLB.com

New Orleans Saints tight end Taysom Hill (knee) is working off to the side with a trainer in a jersey for the first time at training camp on Sunday, according to Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football. The Saints have not given a timetable for when Hill might return to practice with the rest of his teammates, but he has made positive progress in his rehab from a torn ACL that he suffered in Week 13 of the 2024 season. The 34-year-old veteran Swiss Army knife landed on the Physically Unable to Perform list to begin training camp, and his availability for Week 1 of the 2025 regular season is up in the air. Hill's specific role in the Saints' offense might also be up in the air under new head coach Kellen Moore, leaving his fantasy value more cloudy than ever before. Will Hill be able to bounce back after his serious knee injury? Fantasy managers in most leagues should be avoiding him entirely this year.--Keith HernandezSource: NewOrleans.Football - Mike Triplett

The Milwaukee Brewers will "start listening" to trade offers for starting pitcher Nestor Cortes, according to Bob Nightengale of USA Today. Cortes (elbow) has been on the injured list since early April due to a flexor strain in his left elbow. However, he threw 93 pitches in a rehab outing on Thursday and appears to be ready to return to the big league mound. In 174 1/3 innings (30 starts) for the New York Yankees in 2024, Cortes was 9-10 with a 3.77 ERA, 1.15 WHIP, and 162 strikeouts. Milwaukee is a contending team, but they have pitching depth in both the major leagues and Triple-A. Trading Cortes to a pitching-needy buyer could allow them to acquire a major league hitter who can step in and help the lineup immediately.--Will BradySource: USA Today - Bob Nightengale

New England Patriots second-year quarterback Drake Maye notably shared that one of his top goals in 2025 is to potentially not run as much as he did in his rookie season, when he rushed for 421 yards on 54 carries for 7.8 yards per tote, according to ESPN's Mike Reiss. "Remaining a passer longer when I scramble, I think that's big," Maye said. "I feel like I had times last year where I had some guys deep that I may have missed them or took off running instead." It's not exactly what fantasy managers want to hear. The 22-year-old didn't have a lot to work with in the passing game in his first year in the NFL. The Patriots have given him more weapons this year, mainly with WR1 Stefon Diggs, which could make up for fewer runs from the second-year signal-caller. Fantasy managers should target Maye as a midrange QB2 this year.--Keith HernandezSource: ESPN Boston - Mike Reiss

The Los Angeles Dodgers have expressed interest in Minnesota Twins outfielder Harrison Bader, according to Bob Nightengale of USA Today. Bader would be a logical upgrade in left field over Dodgers outfielder Michael Conforto, who has struggled mightily this season. The 31-year-old Bader is having arguably his best offensive season so far in 2025. In 295 plate appearances, he's slashing .250/.332/.435 with 12 home runs, 38 RBI, 29 runs scored, and nine stolen bases. A center fielder for the majority of his career, Minnesota has utilized Bader mostly in left field, and he's provided standout defense. If acquired by the Dodgers, Bader would have the opportunity to earn the majority of the team's available playing time in left field.--Will BradySource: USA Today - Bob Nightengale

Atlanta Falcons general manager Terry Fontenot said that tight end Kyle Pitts is "as healthy has he's been" in training camp. Pitts dealt with a minor foot injury earlier this offseason but was cleared before the start of training camp and isn't limited in any way this summer. That's good news as the 24-year-old looks to become a bigger part of the offense in quarterback Michael Penix Jr.'s first full season as the starting QB. The former first-rounder has been a disappointment since a 1,000-yard season in his rookie campaign. He caught 47 passes last year for 602 yards and four touchdowns. He's still young, and most fantasy managers are probably avoiding him at all costs, especially after he did nothing special in Penix's three starts to close out the 2024 season. Draft him as a TE2 and hope that the Falcons finally figure out how to use him properly.--Keith HernandezSource: ESPN.com - Marc Raimondi

Atlanta Braves designated hitter Marcell Ozuna has played more than 10 big league seasons and the last six with the Braves, which gives him the right to veto any trade. However, Ozuna is "expected to approve any deal if the team guarantees him everyday playing time," according to Bob Nightengale of USA Today. The 34-year-old slugger is in the final year of his current contract and has lost playing time in recent weeks. Ozuna is hitting .232/.358/.384 with 13 home runs, 42 RBI, and 37 runs scored in 400 plate appearances. His 16.3% walk rate is by far the best of his career, but his barrel rate has fallen from 15.4% in 2024 to 10.8% this season. Ozuna is still a dangerous presence in any lineup, but his lack of defensive ability may limit his appeal on the trade market. A move to a contender where he will play every day and likely join a more potent lineup would improve his fantasy outlook.--Will BradySource: USA Today - Bob Nightengale

The Dallas Cowboys and standout tight end Jake Ferguson agreed to terms on a four-year contract extension on Sunday worth $52 million in new money with $30 million total guaranteed, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Ferguson will receive a $12 million signing bonus. The 26-year-old took a step back in 2024, catching 59 of 86 targets for 494 yards and no touchdowns in 14 starts after going for a 71-761-5 line in 17 games in 2023. He was unable to take the next step due to quarterback Dak Prescott's season-ending hamstring injury. Receiver George Pickens will take valuable targets away from Ferguson in 2025, but as long as both he and Prescott stay healthy, Ferguson should improve on his numbers from a year ago. Fantasy managers should target him as a low-end TE1 if they decide to wait on the position.--Keith HernandezSource: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

The Atlanta Braves are willing to listen to offers for second baseman Ozzie Albies, Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports. The Braves would be selling low on the three-time All-Star in what has been the worst season of his career. The switch-hitting Albies has batted a miserable .221/.296/.326 with nine homers, 40 RBI, 43 runs scored, and nine steals in 436 plate appearances. Albies has been especially poor versus lefties, who have held him to a toothless .218/.243/.264 line. Despite his unexpected woes this year, it seems likely Albies' employer (whether it's Atlanta or another team) will exercise his $7 million option for 2026 in the offseason. Otherwise, they'd have to pay the 28-year-old a $4 million buyout and would only save $3 million.--Connor ByrneSource: Bob Nightengale

The Boston Red Sox aren't planning to trade outfielder Jarren Duran before the July 31 deadline, according to Bob Nightengale of USA Today. There has been speculation about Duran changing teams by the deadline, though a deal seems more likely to come together during the offseason (if at all). While the 28-year-old hasn't matched his production from 2024, he has been an integral part of a Boston team that's in the thick of the AL playoff race. Duran went 3-for-4 with two triples, a double, two RBI, and a run scored in a 4-2 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers on Saturday. He's now 19-for-65 (.292) with three homers, 16 RBI, and 12 runs in 19 games this month. Overall, Duran has slashed .259/.326/.442 with nine HRs, 55 RBI, 58 runs, and 16 steals in 467 trips to the plate.--Connor ByrneSource: Bob Nightengale

If the Chicago White Sox are going to trade outfielder Luis Robert Jr. to the New York Mets, they're going to want third baseman/designated hitter Mark Vientos in return, according to Bob Nightengale of USA Today. The Mets are known to have interest in Robert, who has struggled this year but is currently enjoying his best month of the season as the White Sox prepare to deal him. Robert has gone 13-for-37 with two homers, nine RBI, 10 runs scored, and four stolen bases in July. Acquiring the former All-Star would take care of the Mets' need for a righty-hitting outfielder. However, it's unclear whether they're willing to give up the 25-year-old Vientos to make it happen. Vientos burst on the scene with 27 home runs last season, but he has fallen short of expectations in 2025. Over 279 plate appearances, Vientos has hit .226/.280/.358 with six homers, 27 RBI, and 22 runs scored.--Connor ByrneSource: Bob Nightengale

The Chicago Cubs are willing to deal outfield prospect Owen Caissie in a trade for a starting pitcher, Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports. The team's top target appears to be Pittsburgh Pirates right-hander Mitch Keller, who has been connected to several clubs leading up to the July 31 trade deadline. Caissie, MLB Pipeline's 37th-ranked prospect, would be a steep price to pay. The 23-year-old has batted a terrific .278/.377/.563 with 20 home runs in 358 plate appearances at the Triple-A level this season, though he has posted a high 29.3% strikeout rate. In Keller, the Cubs would be getting a reasonably priced mid-rotation starter who has pitched to a 3.53 ERA with a 1.16 WHIP, 97 strikeouts, and 30 walks across 125 innings in 2025. The 29-year-old is earning $15 million this season and is due a combined $54.5 million from 2026-28.--Connor ByrneSource: Bob Nightengale

Los Angeles Dodgers infielder/outfielder Hyeseong Kim (shoulder) has been playing through left-shoulder troubles over the past five to six days, manager Dave Roberts revealed. The Dodgers will give Kim off on Sunday against the Boston Red Sox as a result. Thanks in part to his shoulder, Kim has only managed to go 3-for-16 with no extra-base hits, eight strikeouts, and no walks in five games this week. Despite that, the 26-year-old rookie is still hitting an above-average .311/.345/.415 with two homers, 15 RBI, 17 runs scored, and a dozen stolen bases over 142 plate appearances.--Connor ByrneSource: Fabian Ardaya - The Athletic

According to Alex Brasky, Buffalo Bills wide receiver Curtis Samuel (hamstring) won't participate in practice on Sunday. The Bills have decided to hold out both Samuel and linebacker Terrel Barnard due to hamstring injuries. This is tough news for Samuel who will be fighting for playing time in training camp. Currently, Khalil Shakir, Keon Coleman, and Joshua Palmer are listed as the top wideouts on the depth chart. Samuel figures to be the fourth wideout, but his opportunities might be limited. The Bills also have Dalton Kincaid and Dawson Knox at tight end who will get touches as well. It's still early in camp, so this hamstring injury shouldn't linger into the regular season. However, Samuel already has an uphill battle ahead of him, so this injury doesn't help. For now, Samuel should be considered day-to-day until more information is revealed.--Andy WebbSource: Alex Brasky

Washington Nationals outfielder Jacob Young (finger) left the team's 9-3 win over the Minnesota Twins early on Saturday with a bruised right index finger. Young departed after hurting his finger on a third-inning bunt attempt, but X-rays came back negative. The 26-year-old is considered day-to-day, so he may sit out Sunday's game. Alex Call replaced him in center field on Saturday. Young has gone homer-less over 250 plate appearances this year and batted just .245/.314/.291 with 18 RBI, 24 runs scored, and 10 stolen bases. He's well behind last year's 33-steal pace.--Connor ByrneSource: Mark Zuckerman - MASNsports.com

Chicago Bears running back D'Andre Swift was working in two-minute drills during Saturday's practice. The lead back job remains up in the air right now, but Swift seems the most likely starter to open the season. Last season, Swift rushed for 959 yards with six touchdowns while hauling in 42 receptions for an additional 386 yards through the air in 17 games during his first year in Chicago. It's worth noting that the Bears also have Roschon Johnson and Kyle Monangai competing for touches in the backfield. The Bears do have new head coach Ben Johnson leading the way in Chicago. Possibly, Johnson decides to use Swift in a different role this upcoming season. This is a situation to monitor throughout training camp.--Andy WebbSource: Kevin Fishbain

According to Sarah Ellison, Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator told reporters Keaton Mitchell is fighting to get touches in the backfield right now. It's the simple fact that the Ravens don't really need a third string back at the moment. Derrick Henry is the workhorse back and Justice Hill has proven to be a versatile option in the backfield. That being said, Mitchell and Rasheen Ali probably won't see much action to begin the season. Mitchell was limited to eight games during his rookie season due to an ACL tear. He only played in five contests last season and doesn't have a path to consistent playing time in Baltimore right now.--Andy WebbSource: Sarah Ellison

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Adonai Mitchell has reportedly struggled early in training camp. According to James Boyd, Mitchell dropped two passes during Saturday's practice. That now makes four dropped passes in four practices. Fantasy managers shouldn't read too much into this as it's still early in camp. Head coach Shane Steichen didn't seem bothered by it, saying players are going to have good and bad plays at times. Mitchell is going to have an uphill battle for playing time with Josh Downs, Michael Pittman Jr., and Alec Pierce at the top of the depth chart. It's also worth noting that the Colts added tight end Tyler Warren in the first-round of this year's draft. Mitchell might only be worth stashing in dynasty leagues or deep formats to begin the season.--Andy WebbSource: James Boyd

Erik Jones of Legacy Motor Club will start third in this week's race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the Brickyard 400. This is the highest starting position yet of the 2025 season for Jones. In five Cup starts at Indianapolis, Jones has one second-place finish, but also three DNFs. In 21 races completed this season, Jones has three top-10 finishes. In practice for this week's Cup race at Indianapolis, Jones ranked second in overall and five consecutive lap averages. The track history for Jones has not been great at Indianapolis, but he has been one of the fastest drivers through practice and has a high starting position. Jones is a huge DFS risk because there is almost no upside from his starting position; therefore, he should only be considered for tournament lineups in this week's race.--Sean Engel - RotoBallerSource: DriverAverages.com

According to Zac Stevens, rookie wide receiver Pat Bryant has been impressing the organization early in training camp. Bryant is getting open, making plays, and showing he can be a legitimate threat in this offense right away. The Broncos used a third-round pick to select Bryant during this year's draft. He's currently slated as the fourth wideout behind Courtland Sutton, Marvin Mims, and Devaughn Vele on the depth chart. Despite that, Bryant has a chance to jump even higher on the depth chart before the season begins. If his success continues, Bryant could be an impact player at the start of the regular season.--Andy WebbSource: Zac Stevens

New Orleans Saints quarterback Jake Haener reportedly has a real shot at winning the starting gig to begin the regular season. Haener has looked good during training camp and is reportedly making this a real three-man race. Spencer Rattler and rookie Tyler Shough are probably above him on the depth chart, but the Saints aren't counting Haener out. Last season, Haener made one start for the Saints during their Week 15 matchup against the Washington Commanders. He completed 4-of-10 passing attempts for 49 yards and one interception before getting benched at halftime in favor of Rattler. Despite that, the Saints aren't holding that outing against him and are giving Haener a fair chance at the starting gig. This is clearly going to be a rebuild in New Orleans, so Shough seems like the favor to start. However, Haener and Rattler are going to get real opportunities during camp and the preseason.--Andy WebbSource: NFL.com

After qualifying for the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Carson Hocevar of Spire Motorsports will start in the eighth position. Hocevar outqualified his teammates from Spire as he is the only one from the organization to score a top-10 starting spot. In his only prior Indianapolis Cup start last year, Hocevar started 30th and went on to finish in the 12th position. After 21 Cup races this season, Hocevar has four top-10 finishes and an average finish of 23.6. In practice, Hocevar ranked 34th in overall lap averages and 14th in five consecutive lap averages. Hocevar's high starting position leaves little upside, and although Hocevar has flashed with speed in a few races this season, his practice speeds indicate that he will finish outside of the top 10. For the salary, Hocevar is a driver who can only be considered for tournament lineups, and even then, he is not the best driver to consider around $7,900 this week.--Sean Engel - RotoBallerSource: DriverAverages.com

Kaulig Racing's A.J. Allmendinger obtained a starting position of ninth after qualifying for this year's Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. This is just the second time in his Cup career that Allmendinger qualified inside the top 10 on the oval track at Indianapolis. In 11 previous races at Indy, Allmendinger has two top-10 finishes and gained positive Place Differential six times. Through 21 races this year so far, Allmendinger has five top-10 finishes and an average finish of 19.9. In practice for Sunday's Brickyard 400, Allmendinger ranked fourth in overall and 10 consecutive lap averages, and 10th in five consecutive lap averages. Although Allmendinger's history has leaned unfavorable at this track in the past, his practice speeds this week do make him a driver to consider at his price of $6,800 for DraftKings lineups, but mainly as a tournament play due to his low upside from his starting position.--Sean Engel - RotoBallerSource: DriverAverages.com

Houston Astros starting pitcher Luis Garcia (elbow) looked sharp on the mound during Saturday's rehab start with Double-A Corpus Christi. Garcia threw 2.1 scoreless innings, allowing two hits, one walk, and striking out three batters. The right-hander threw 34 strikes across this 46-pitch outing. The fact he only threw two innings means Garcia will likely need to ramp up more before returning to the Astros rotation. The Astros haven't given much of a timetable on his return. Possibly, Garcia is able to return to the rotation at some point in August.--Andy WebbSource: Astros Future

Zane Smith of Front Row Motorsports will start 27th in this week's Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Smith has the lowest starting position of the three drivers from FRM in this week's Cup race. In his only Cup Series start at Indianapolis last season, Smith started 27th like this year's race, but went on to finish in the 17th position. With 21 races completed this season, Smith has 12 top-20 finishes and an average finish of 19.8. In practice for this week's Cup Series race at Indianapolis, Smith ranked fifth in overall lap averages and 18th in five consecutive lap averages. Despite his lack of overall experience compared to others, Smith has solid upside and equipment, with practice speeds indicative of competing for a top-20 finish, making him a respectable value option at $5,900 on DraftKings.--Sean Engel - RotoBallerSource: DriverAverages.com

Los Angeles Angels third baseman Yoan Moncada (hand) was removed from Saturday's game after being hit by a pitch in the right hand. Moncada took a pitch from George Kirby off his hand in the sixth inning. This resulted in his immediate exit from the contest and subsequently went for imaging. The X-rays came back negative, so Moncada appears to have avoided any serious injuries. For now, fantasy managers should consider Moncada as day-to-day. There is a good chance that he'll sit out of Sunday's game against the Seattle Mariners.--Andy WebbSource: Rhett Bollinger
