Quinshon Judkins Meeting With NFL on Wednesday
Quinshon Judkins is meeting with the NFL in New York on Wednesday as part of the league's personal conduct policy, per Ian Rapoport of NFL.com. This could be an indication that a suspension is coming for Judkins, who missed all of training camp and was delayed in signing his rookie contract after getting arrested on domestic violence allegations during the summer. Without Judkins, Cleveland split backfield touches in Week 1 between Dylan Sampson, Jerome Ford, and Raheim Sanders. Judkins should have a chance to be the team's lead back when he takes the field, but it's hard to know exactly when that will be at this stage. He remains a waiver-wire target for fantasy managers in leagues where he's available, but may be more of a stash candidate than an immediate contributor.

Quentin Johnston Looking to Maintain Positive Momentum Heading into Week 2
Quentin Johnston was one of the surprise stars of Week 1, recording five catches for 79 yards and two touchdowns in his team's victory over the Kansas City Chiefs. The 24-year-old will now look to build on the momentum from that performance in Week 2 against the Las Vegas Raiders. Johnston finished third on the Chargers in targets in Week 1 behind fellow wideouts Ladd McConkey and Keenan Allen, which is a trend that figures to continue going forward as long as all three are healthy. The Raiders' defense forced its Week 1 opponent, the New England Patriots, into a pass-heavy game script with Pats quarterback Drake Maye attempting 46 passes. The Chargers should have more success on the ground, but a pass-heavy approach would significantly improve Johnston's chances for fantasy success. He profiles as a low-end WR4/flex option in Week 2.

Juwan Johnson Set to Maintain a Significant Role in Saints' Offense?
Juwan Johnson was heavily featured in the team's passing game in Week 1, earning 11 targets and recording eight catches for 76 yards. Perhaps most encouragingly, Johnson was on the field for 99% of his team's offensive snaps. With Saints tight ends Taysom Hill (knee) and Foster Moreau (knee) both sidelined by injuries until at least Week 5, Johnson could continue to shoulder a heavy workload in the games to come. New Orleans logged 46 pass attempts in Week 1, so even if Johnson's target share drops a bit going forward, he could still be a useful player in PPR-scoring formats. Johnson should be added by fantasy managers as tight end insurance or an injury replacement in deep leagues.

Jose Siri Activated from 60-Day Injured List on Tuesday
Jose Siri (tibia) was activated from the 60-day injured list on Tuesday after completing a rehab assignment in the minors. The 30-year-old collected at least one hit in six of the eight games he played on the assignment, and was back in the lineup for the Mets on Tuesday night. The 6-foot-2 slugger went 1-for-4 out of the ninth spot in the order, with the lone hit being a double, and he also scored once. The right-handed hitter offers both pop and speed, blasting as many as 25 home runs in 101 games in 2023 for the Rays, and recording at least 12 stolen bases in each of the last three seasons despite playing in no more than 130 games in any of those seasons. The issue is that he strikes out a ton and will likely hurt fantasy managers in the batting average department, so he can be left on the waiver wire in most leagues.

Warming Bernabel Placed on Injured List, Michael Toglia Recalled
Warming Bernabel (concussion) has been placed on the 7-day concussion injured list after slamming into a wall chasing a foul ball in Monday's 3-1 loss to the Dodgers. The 23-year-old was 5-for-7 (.714) in his previous two games and was slashing .264/.301/.434 with four home runs since he was called up at the end of July. To take his place, the Rockies recalled first baseman Michael Toglia from Triple-A Albuquerque. Toglia spent 86 games with the Rockies earlier this year and logged 36 games with the Isotopes. Though he's had a rough go of it in the majors, Toglia is known for some big power and was hitting .387 (31-for-80) over his last 22 games at Triple-A, including four doubles, two triples, and six home runs. The left-handed slugger could help fantasy managers looking for power, but it could come at the expense of batting average based on his previous stints in the majors.

Quinshon Judkins Will Not Practice on Wednesday, Remains Away From Team
Quinshon Judkins (undisclosed) is not in the team's building and will not practice on Wednesday, according to Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski. Judkins missed all of training camp due to an offseason arrest and did not sign his rookie contract until early September. However, he was reportedly set to suit up for his first practice on Wednesday, so this announcement from Stefanski comes as a surprise. It's unclear when Judkins will make his NFL debut, but he should have an opportunity to wrestle the Browns' RB1 role away from veteran back Jerome Ford and fellow rookie Dylan Sampson upon his return. Judkins remains a clear waiver-wire target where available, but fantasy managers will need to keep a close eye on his situation.

Travis Kelce Takes Accountability on Xavier Worthy Injury
Travis Kelce took accountability after colliding with second-year wideout Xavier Worthy on the opening drive of the season. The collision left Worthy with a dislocated shoulder that sidelined him for the rest of the game. "There is no excuse for me running into my own guys like that," Kelce admitted on the New Heights Podcast. Worthy's early exit appeared to rattle the Chiefs' offense. Without his speed to stretch the field, the Los Angeles Chargers defense was able to apply pressure on Patrick Mahomes, limiting Kansas City's explosive plays and ultimately sealing a win. With Worthy's recovery timeline still unclear, the Chiefs will look to Marquise Brown and JuJu Smith-Schuster to carry the receiving load, while Kelce is expected to play an even bigger role in the passing attack.

Xavier Gipson Released Following Costly Fumble
Xavier Gipson is being released, per Brian Costello. Gipson has been a steady contributor in the return game, but a costly fumble in the Jets' Week 1 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers sealed his fate. Head coach Aaron Glenn has made it clear that he "wouldn't tolerate those kinds of blunders." With Gipson gone, the Jets will look to Isaiah Davis or rookie wideout Arian Smith to step into the return role. New York faces the division-rival Buffalo Bills in Week 2, where minimizing special-teams mistakes will be critical if they hope to pull off an upset against the reigning AFC East champions.

Ryan Pepiot Scratched on Wednesday, Griffin Jax to Open
Ryan Pepiot, who was scheduled to start Wednesday's road matchup with the Chicago White Sox, will be scratched due to fatigue. As a result, the Rays will go with a bullpen game, with Griffin Jax now listed as the scheduled opener. Pepiot is having a fine season, pitching to a 3.59 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, and a 15.9 percent K-BB%, however, he's also at a career-high 163 innings pitched, which is 30 more innings than he logged last season. It's bad timing as the Rays try to make a final push towards the playoffs, but hopefully this rest rejuvenates him for a couple of final starts to end the year. Jax hasn't logged more than an inning all year in 65 appearances, so don't expect him to go longer than that on Wednesday.

LeQuint Allen Jr. Expected to See More Touches in Week 2
LeQuint Allen Jr. is in line for more playing time following the trade of veteran Tank Bigsby. In Week 1, Allen saw nine offensive snaps, recording one carry for seven yards and adding a four-yard reception in the Jaguars' 26-10 win over Carolina. By comparison, fellow rookie Bhayshul Tuten logged just four snaps. Allen's pass-catching ability may give him the edge as the primary backup to Travis Etienne Jr., especially with the Jaguars heading into a Week 2 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals. Cincinnati's defense allowed the third-most receptions to running backs in Week 1, which could open the door for Allen to carve out a role as a receiving complement. While he's not a viable start in Week 2, Allen is a name to monitor closely. If his role continues to grow, his receiving usage could make him fantasy-relevant in deeper leagues sooner rather than later.

Roki Sasaki Fans Eight in Latest Rehab Start
Roki Sasaki (shoulder) made his fifth rehab appearance on Tuesday for Triple-A Oklahoma City, allowing three earned runs on three hits and four walks while striking out eight batters in 4 2/3 innings of work. The right-hander threw 90 pitches in the game, but only just over half were for strikes (52), although he coaxed 16 whiffs on 35 swings and threw six pitches 100 mph-plus. Last week, manager Dave Roberts said that Sasaki's stuff was not where they wanted it to be at this point in his rehab in order to return to the Dodgers, but we'll see if Tuesday's start changes his tune.

Harold Fannin Jr is a Priority Stash Heading Into Week 2
Harold Fannin Jr. will look to build on a promising Week 1 performance as the team heads into Week 2. The third-round pick led the Browns in targets, catching seven passes for 63 yards and even adding a three-yard carry. Cleveland leaned heavily on 12 personnel, using two-tight end sets on half of their offensive snaps. Fannin logged a healthy 72% snap share, while veteran David Njoku was on the field for 84%. With veteran quarterback Joe Flacco under center, tight ends are expected to remain a focal point of the passing attack. While it's risky to trust a secondary tight end in fantasy lineups, Fannin has quickly emerged as one of the best stashes at the position. Njoku is entering the final year of his contract, and trade rumors have surfaced in the past. Should that door open, Fannin would be positioned for a major role. Fannin isn't a start yet, but he's a priority stash in dynasty and deep-league formats.

Bhayshul Tuten Expected to See More Touches in Week 2
Bhayshul Tuten is set to see increased opportunities in Week 2 following the trade of Tank Bigsby. Tuten logged three carries for 11 yards in Jacksonville's 26-10 win over the Carolina Panthers in Week 1. The backfield was dominated by starter Travis Etienne, who piled up 156 scrimmage yards on 19 touches. Tuten is expected to split backup duties with fellow rookie LeQuint Allen Jr., the 2025 seventh-round pick who profiles more as a pass-catching option. The Jaguars head on the road to face the Cincinnati Bengals, whose run defense looked sharp in Week 1, holding Cleveland's ground game under 50 total yards and just 2.0 yards per carry. While Tuten is an intriguing stash given the shift in Jacksonville's depth chart, Etienne remains the clear workhorse, so the rookie running back should remain on your bench this week.

Jeremiah Jackson Exits After Getting Hit in the Elbow
Jeremiah Jackson (elbow) was hit in the right elbow by a pitch in the eighth inning of Tuesday's 3-2 extra innings win over the Pirates, and he then exited the game. The 25-year-old had homered earlier in the game, his fifth since being called up at the beginning of August. The former second-round draft pick has outperformed expectations since arriving, slashing .314/.346/.521 in 33 games with the O's. The right-handed slugger should be considered day-to-day for now. If he is back in the lineup on Wednesday, he'll have a tall test against the Pirates' Paul Skenes.

Jacory Croskey-Merritt a Must-Add in Week 2
Jacory Croskey-Merritt, aka Bill, is a must-add for fantasy managers in Week 2 if he's available. Currently, he is owned in 78% of Yahoo leagues, and may find himself rostered in more leagues by the end of Week 2. JCM was electric in Week 1, handling the ball 10 times for 82 yards, good enough for an 8.2 YPC. He also scored a touchdown, rewarding fantasy managers with 14.2 points in half-PPR leagues. In addition, he achieved this while playing in only 33% of the snaps, and that number should only increase from here. Lead back, veteran Austin Ekeler played 47% of the snaps, and while JCM is unlikely to get the full workload with Ekeler involved, he is in line to see 10-15 touches weekly, making him a solid RB3 option for fantasy managers. If Ekeler goes down, JCM is suddenly approaching top-20 running back territory. In Week 2, the Commanders have a tough matchup against the Green Bay Packers on Thursday Night Football, who dominated the Detroit Lions in Week 1.

Masyn Winn Will Require Offseason Knee Surgery
Masyn Winn (knee) was scratched from Tuesday's lineup due to soreness in his left knee. It has been revealed that the 23-year-old has a slight tear of his meniscus, which will require surgery in the offseason. The team plans to let him play through it as there aren't concerns of further damage, it is just a pain tolerance issue at this point. The surgery is also not expected to delay his start to next season. The former second-round draft pick has not had a productive year at the plate, but more so in the second half, producing a .247/.298/.331 slash line with a .281 wOBA and 79 wRC+ since the All-Star break. Hopefully next year will show some improvement, as he currently stands as the 28th-ranked shortstop in terms of fantasy scoring.

Dylan Sampson a Top Priority Add in Week 2
Dylan Sampson was heavily involved in his first career NFL game and is one of the top priority adds in Week 2 of the NFL season. Sampson played 43% of the snaps on Sunday and caught all eight of his targets for 64 receiving yards. He also added 12 carries on the ground for 29 yards. The rookie out of Tennessee said he felt a rhythm growing there with Joe Flacco on Sunday in his NFL regular-season debut, Camryn Justice, beat writer for the Browns, reports. Sampson clearly identified himself as the top back in Week 1, out-touching fellow back Jerome Ford 20-7, and although Ford played more snaps (56%), he clearly was not involved in getting touches. With Quinshon Judkins expected to return soon, it appears the Browns' backfield will consist of Sampson and Judkins, with Judkins on early downs and Sampson mixing in on third downs. Until then, Sampson is finding himself in RB3 territory for Week 2 against the Baltimore Ravens.

DJ Giddens Solidifying Role as the Colts' RB2?
DJ Giddens had a good performance in Week 1 with 41 rushing yards on 12 carries, suitable for a 3.4 YPC. With the Colts up big against the Miami Dolphins, Giddens entered the game to make his NFL debut in the third quarter in place of All-Pro running back Jonathan Taylor. Taylor has been a bit injury-riddled in the past, so if Giddens can continue to impress, it's possible the Colts keep him at the No. 2 running back position over Tyler Goodson (elbow) as the season goes on. The fifth-round rookie was excellent in his final season at Kansas State, and had 205 rushing attempts for 1,343 yards and seven touchdowns, along with 21 receptions for 258 yards and one touchdown, starting all 12 games for Kansas State and earning Second-Team All-Big 12 honors. Giddens is a priority stash with leagues carrying a larger bench, especially for those rostering Taylor. In Week 2, the Colts face a tough home matchup against the Denver Broncos.

Kristaps Porzingis Reportedly Still Not Completely Healthy
Kristaps Porzingis appears to still be struggling with health issues. The Latvian big man featured at the 2025 EuroBasket, averaging 20.2 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks. However, his health continues to raise concerns. "Scouts were not blown away by the way Kristaps Porzingis looked," ESPN's Brian Windhorst said on The Hoop Collective podcast. "They felt he looked--not the sort of impact player they're used to seeing. He admitted that while he feels better than he did in the spring, he's still got a way to go. He's not back to the full health that he was at." Considering his ongoing health issues, it's probably best for managers to avoid Porzingis in fantasy drafts.

Kelly Oubre Jr. Reportedly on the Trade Block
Kelly Oubre Jr. is reportedly on the trade block. The team seems ready to part with him to offer restricted free agent Quentin Grimes a better financial package. "There has been buzz all summer long about the Sixers looking to potentially move one of, if not both, Andre Drummond and Kelly Oubre," NBA Insider Jake Fischer said during a Bleacher Report live stream. "If they are able to find a deal for one of those two guys as we get closer to camp, that would open up some more wiggle room for Philadelphia to be able to pay Grimes a little bit more than what he's looking at right now and what that qualifying offer would be." Oubre Jr. has been a productive player for the 76ers and exercised an $8.4 million player option for this season. With the team healthy again, Oubre Jr.'s role could be quite different in 2025-26, so a move elsewhere might benefit his fantasy value.

Andre Drummond's Future in Philadelphia in Doubt
Andre Drummond may start the 2025-26 campaign elsewhere. NBA insider Jake Fischer reported that the team could look to move him to open up more resources for the signing of restricted free agent Quentin Grimes. "There has been buzz all summer long about the Sixers looking to potentially move one of, if not both, Andre Drummond and Kelly Oubre," Fischer said. "If they are able to find a deal for one of those two guys as we get closer to camp, that would open up some more wiggle room for Philadelphia to be able to pay Grimes a little bit more than what he's looking at right now and what that qualifying offer would be." A departure from Philadelphia will likely hurt Drummond's fantasy value because he has seen considerable action as a starter with the Sixers due to Joel Embiid's health issues.

Giannis Antetokounmpo Helps Greece Reach Semis at EuroBasket
Giannis Antetokounmpo scored a game-high 29 points on 9-for-15 shooting, leading Greece to an 87-76 victory over Lithuania in the EuroBasket quarterfinals on Tuesday. The two-time NBA MVP also made a huge impact defensively, snagging four steals and blocking one shot. He finished 11-for-16 at the charity stripe and capped off his work with six rebounds and a pair of assists. Antetokounmpo sat out a couple of games during the group phase, raising concerns about his health, but he has looked as explosive as ever when on the court. With an average of 29.8 points per game, only Luka Doncic has scored more in this year's EuroBasket. Additionally, Antetokounmpo is among the best rebounders in the tournament, averaging 9.0 boards per game. The Bucks superstar looks ready to hit the ground running as the new NBA season approaches.
