Joe Burrow Suffers Turf Toe and Torn Ligaments in Win
Joe Burrow (toe) is believed to have suffered turf toe during Sunday's Week 2 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to Jeremy Rauch of FOX 19. Burrow also suffered torn ligaments and is expected to miss several weeks. The former No. 1 pick exited during the first half and did not return. He finished Week 2 with seven completions, 76 yards, and one passing touchdown. With Burrow expected to miss significant time, Jake Browning will take over as the Bengals' primary quarterback. Browning led the Bengals to a victory Sunday, but it wasn't pretty as he threw three interceptions.
