Los Angeles Kings right wing Corey Perry (undisclosed) was injured during a pre-training camp skate on Friday, according to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman. The veteran forward was reportedly taken off the ice in a wheelchair. After a solid 30-point campaign in Edmonton, Perry signed a one-year, $2 million contract with the Kings. He may have to wait for his debut with his seventh NHL team due to Friday's incident. Perry is projected to fill a fourth-line role this season, but he will also be in line for some power-play time. His experience could become crucial for the Kings during the playoffs.--Taavi Pailk
