Luis Garcia Pitches Well During Rehab Start
Luis Garcia (elbow) looked sharp on the mound during Saturday's rehab start with Double-A Corpus Christi. Garcia threw 2.1 scoreless innings, allowing two hits, one walk, and striking out three batters. The right-hander threw 34 strikes across this 46-pitch outing. The fact he only threw two innings means Garcia will likely need to ramp up more before returning to the Astros rotation. The Astros haven't given much of a timetable on his return. Possibly, Garcia is able to return to the rotation at some point in August.
